I'm leaving 5 stars because I can't give 10... the best steak of my life! I returned to Bucaccia after many years, and I must say that over time it has done like wine... I've always eaten great there, but this time they outdid themselves! Romano Oste, perfect fresh homemade pici with Val di Chiana garlic, steak, chickpeas, and finally tiramisu, all accompanied by an excellent red wine, superlative wine list... Super satisfied with my wonderful dinner. Thank you Mr. Magi 🔝🔝

Visiting Cortona with my partner, I was inspired by the reviews, and I can confidently confirm what I'd read elsewhere. Romano's Bucaccia is an absolute taste and lifestyle experience. The restaurant is beautiful, in a rural Tuscan style. The meal is of the highest quality, with excellent products and ingredients, refined dishes, flavorful but "without too much fuss" (as Romano rightly says) on the plate. It's an excellent culinary experience, both in substance and flavor. The price is a little higher than average, I won't deny it, but in my opinion, eating at Romano's, chatting and discussing this and that, and enjoying his company while tasting his dishes was an experience worth the extra cost. If you're looking for a cheek-to-cheek dinner, it might not be the best place, but if you're looking for excellent food and great company, you're absolutely in the right place. Authentic, original, flavorful, delicious. Highly recommended, definitely worth a second visit next time I return to Cortona. Returning to lunch, the appetizers included soufflé and sweet bresaola, tagliolini with truffle, pici with wild boar and citrus (a flavor explosion), and, as unsolicited extras offered by the owner Romano, an excellent glass of Chianti and a delicious cured meat made with pancetta, guanciale, pork, and lemon—truly spectacular. Finally, we finished with one of the best tiramisu with mascarpone cream I've ever had. Finally, a meal not ruined by dessert. Coffee and house liqueur were offered. AMAZING. If you're in Cortona, you absolutely must visit this restaurant – or so the advice goes. Naturally, our expectations were high. Even upon entering, we were captivated by the inviting ambiance: rustic stone walls, small alcoves artfully illuminated with light and carefully selected wines – an atmosphere that immediately exudes warmth and elegance. Our assigned table was exactly to our liking, even if it seemed a little small with all the delicious dishes during the main course. Romano, the owner, greeted us personally and served homemade salami with lemon zest and a little pecorino as an aperitif. He recommended an excellent local Merlot – a wine that paired perfectly with both the salami and the subsequent courses. The dishes we ordered were a complete success: finely balanced, not over-seasoned, harmonious, and perfectly rounded in flavor. The truffle was also used with pleasing restraint – not overpowering, but elegantly integrated. Of course, taste is subjective, but for us, it was just right. There's still room for improvement in the service. It wasn't bad by any means, but it could have been a bit more professional and attentive at times – especially considering the restaurant's Michelin-starred reputation. Overall, though, it was a delightful evening and a wonderful culinary finale to a fantastic day in Cortona.
