By far one of the best Italian restaurants anywhere in Italy. Amazing food, wine and ambiance.

We had a great time. Excellent food including fruit and sweets. Very friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely be back. Prices not exaggerated for the excellent quality.

Excellent restaurant present in the Michelin guide for years. Which, in itself, is not necessarily a guarantee. In more than one dish you can find a well-balanced sweet-savory combination. Romano directs and welcomes, but he didn't want to tell us anything about the Tapir displayed among the various relics.

Over the course of 10 years I have come to this magical place several times, it has never disappointed me. Intimate, beautiful, emotional and refined environment. High quality food with excellent and seasonal raw materials, cooked and served with the utmost care. However, if you want to base yourself only on the price without evaluating the value of the experience then look for something else because you pay for quality, professionalism and the environment. But when you spend high-level evenings the price is relative!

Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante e ci hanno fatto accomodare in un tavolo (all ‘esterno ) che doveva essere per 2 invece noi eravamo in 3 quindi eravamo proprio un po’ compressi MA siamo stati stra soddisfatti dall’eccellente qualità del cibo. Il servizio molto cortese e il sig Romano stupendo padrone di casa. Conto proporzionato. Sicuramente da provare!

Delicious food, confirmed and exceeded expectations. It's definitely worth what you pay. Courteous staff, welcoming place and kind and friendly owner. Happy to have a chat with him before leaving. A gem: freshly prepared hot cantucci. Beloved. The venison tartare is excellent, the venison stewed with apples and chestnuts is fantastic (off the menu, very lucky to find it).

Outstanding! My family and I had such a good experience we had to go back a second night while staying in cortona. We found the place though the Michelin app. The food was absolutely delicious, and the owner Romano made it feel like a very personable and fun dining experience. Romano thank you, I love you! 😂 Also, reading some of these bad reviews I have to say that some people need to stop acting all high and mighty! Jeez guys lighten up a bit

Wow, La Bucaccia was everything we had hoped for and more! One of the best meals we have had in Italy. It's no wonder that they are recognized by Michelin. Stepping inside the restaurant, it is just beautiful with the stone walls, lighting, and table settings. The service was impeccable. The servers helped make some recommendations for us and coordinated the timing of dishes being served so well. We loved that Romano, the owner, was there at the restaurant greeting everyone as they walked in and checking them in for their reservations! And the food...it is just incredible! The Tartare al Tartufo Fresco was honestly one of the best tartare's I have ever had in my life. I still dream about it. We ordered it two nights in a row. Pici Alla Carbonaia was also incredible...another dish that we ordered both nights we dined there. For dessert, the tiramisu was our favorite! Highly recommend these dishes in particular, although everything else we had was incredible as well. We also wanted to thank Romano for accommodating us for a second night. Reservations in advance are critical here and you should definitely make them as far in advance as possible! We had reservations for our first night there and I loved the food so much that my boyfriend asked Romano if there was any way that he could fit us in for the next night, since he was planning to propose that day. Romano was able to fit us into their busy schedule and he made our engagement night so special, giving us both biscotti and wine on the house to celebrate! It was such a memorable dinner at La Bucaccia and Romano really made it extra special. We will for sure be back again in the future!
