Try the hare pappardelle or the stuffed pigeon or the rabbit with wild fennel etc. ... I have no words to say how masterly these local specialties are cooked ... I live in Rome but I can't wait to return to Botticella to savor that cuisine again because that lady makes you take a leap in quality in ancient local culinary tradition (compliments to the good cook).

Nice place, lunch for two, good starter, very good first courses, so-so main course, lamb hunter drowned in too much oil, side dish: overcooked (burnt) potatoes left and not eaten, overall good, but certainly could be done better.

08/12/2024: Oasis of peace, express and excellent cuisine enriched with original flavours, always smiling and fast service, top hospitality even residential, a stone's throw from Lake Bolsena. Production of superlative extra oil and wine reminiscent of Homer's descriptions in the Odyssey, read and then try to believe... Or vice versa... Feel at home on holiday or for a food and wine break in the cool of a huge pergola. Kindness at the top.

La Carrozza D'Oro

04/04/2025: Well-kept restaurant, with a nice tree-lined parking lot (something not to be underestimated in the summer months), excellent and genuine cuisine, friendly staff.
08/03/2025: Mi è sembrato molto meglio di tanti anni fa quando partecipai ad un giropizza per un evento politico. Parcheggio immenso anche se con accesso stretto. Locale proprio di fronte al lago in ambienti ampi e pulitissimi che almeno in parte hanno arredi ed architetture datate; sembrano realizzati su misura per matrimoni ed eventi affollati. In ogni caso però in uno di questi eventi a menù fisso si è mangiato molto bene spendendo relativamente poco. Grande disponibilità del personale per bis e tris di portate. Da consigliare, soprattutto per eventi.
