La Bottega di Nonna Papera In Vicenza

After visiting Santa Maria Degli Angeli, we were looking for a place for dinner, and attracted by its proximity and good reviews, we tried this place. The menu had a good selection of pizzas, first courses, and second courses. Prices were reasonable. The waiter was friendly and helpful. It's not a gourmet restaurant, but it's perfect for those like us who were on vacation. We returned the next evening, traveling a few more kilometers, but confident we'd find a good dinner without being ripped off.

If I had to use one adjective to describe the pizza: Outstanding! The staff were extremely kind and welcoming.

I had dinner twice in this restaurant, being owned by the owners of the Los Angeles hotel I found it convenient. The furnishings are very local "in the old fashioned way", not particularly well looked after, but I found it sober and minimal enough (a restyling wouldn't be bad, especially the chairs...) I found the staff, especially the senior waiter, very helpful, prepared and professionally pleasant, very good! I ate a first course "spinach ravioli with cherry tomatoes and burrata stracciatella if I'm not mistaken" unfortunately the ravioli were slightly undercooked, however the dish was normal I would say, nothing special and grilled vegetables as a side dish. On the second day I chose pizza and honestly I was a little disappointed, with vegetables and the addition of asparagus + cold buffalo mozzarella as per my request, in my opinion well below my expectations. Overall, if you have no pretensions and prefer comfort and mediocrity to something more refined and attentive, I would say that staying in the area could be for you. P.S. Frozen desserts are served directly from the fridge if you are a "fan" of this type of dessert. Prices in the area average.

Good pizza, kind and nice staff, ok service, the place is the hotel restaurant, a little vintage but nice, excellent location for the center of S M d Angeli.

Very fast and kind in service. Quality of the pizza not to my taste even though the quality of the ingredients was excellent.

A classic pizza in a classic location that does not disappoint. Good value for money.
