We were staying in the Ambra area recently for vacation and our hotel recommended La Bottega di Duddova for dinner while we were staying there.
The hotel made us dinner reservations in advance and the hotel has a private parking lot steps from the restaurant and we were seated promptly at our dinner time and greeted warmly by restaurant staff. The town is so cute and small and we felt we were dining at a really small family establishment.
We ordered a bottle of house wine to start for 10 Euros and for starter we ordered the local cheeses for 12 Euros.
We ordered a pasta to share with truffle for 16 Euros and the pork slices to share for 16 Euros. Everything was absolutely outstanding and very flavorful and fresh. We highly recommend trying if you’re in the area!

This was exactly what I wanted: a wonderful meal in a small town (population 16) versus big town tourist traps. Staff was fantastic and I will be back next week!

When you come to Italy, you might have an idea what you want to find: a small, family run restaurant with heartfelt friendly people, miraculously good food with few ingredients, somewhere in a remote place. All these boxes checked here. A wonderful place.

The village of Duddova is suggestive, the rustic rural style tavern has its own charm, the welcome is warm. But I wouldn't bother to go there for dinner again, it doesn't give you what you might expect. Nothing unforgettable, the vaunted chicken in a crust, normal chicken breasts with a vaguely spicy breading. The spaghetti with fennel pesto is interesting. The bill is acceptable, but next time I'll spend elsewhere. I'd say it would be a perfect little place for a snack, I don't know if it takes an afternoon break.

We went to this place looking for a secluded and unique spot, and we found it. The owner, Leonardo, was very kind and welcoming. The food was delicious: ravioli gigli and a variety of cheeses!
At the end of dinner, we were joined by an Argentinian guy who lives nearby, and we spoke to him in Spanish. The whole experience was truly enjoyable. It's a place with a lot of character, and I would definitely come back.

La bottega di Duddova is a small but charming and particular place used as a tavern / bar / wine shop set in the medieval historic center of Duddova.
Last weekend we went on a trek, with our environmental guide, in the Bucine area.
We started from Cennina, reaching Montebenichi and subsequently Duddova.
Having arrived in this splendid village with all the period stone houses, now tired of the journey, we noticed with great surprise this small reality: "la Bottega di Duddova" where we refreshed ourselves with beers, coffee, ice creams, fruit juices etc.
Truly a wedding favor, very welcoming, inside the small center and the staff of the structure showed kindness and speed in serving the orders.

The place to go for your steak Fiorentina, perfectly grilled with rosemary and a beautiful glass of Brunello to go with it. Super friendly waiter and owner that make you feel welcome! Lovely small restaurant with limited number of tables which creates that special atmosphere 👍!
