We stopped in completely by chance and found something of surprising quality. Both the smoked and roasted eel were truly delicious. The staff was friendly and open to conversation. The place is tiny, but there's a nice bathroom available, though small in size, not in quality. The price is quite high, but likely due to the touristy location and the quality and nature of the products. It's worth a stop.

A spartan place, but that's okay because what matters are the piadinas and sandwiches, which embody all the delicious, quality flavors of the place.
The marinated eel sandwich and the anchovy piadina are top notch.
P.S. "Spartan" wasn't a negative term.

The place was recommended to us by a dear friend who has been going there for many years. The location is really nice, right on the canal. The owner is very attentive and you can see that she cares about her products and her history! In addition to being an excellent lunch break for the delicious food, it was also an opportunity to say a few words of sympathy!
We had the sandwich with smoked eel (a real explosion of flavors) and the "Lido degli Scacchi" piadina with the typical Zia Ferrarese salami. Nothing to say about the excellence of the products which obviously require a medium-high price.

The food is good and in the end the prices are in line with the market also considering the location.
When asking for information, I found the lady's attitude not very polite.
I didn't understand why the prices are hidden and shown only upon request on a revolving sign.
An Ichnusa from 0.5 to 6 euros is not cheap.

La Bottega di Comacchio ci ha accolto con piadine artigianali, in cui la pasta fatta in casa si sposa perfettamente con ingredienti locali scelti con cura. Un dolce casareccio del negozio accanto ha completato l’esperienza con un tocco goloso. Un piccolo imprevisto al momento del pagamento si è risolto in modo rapido grazie a Satispay, senza intaccare l’atmosfera genuina del locale. La proprietaria, inizialmente un po’ schietta, rivela ben presto la sua grande passione e attenzione per ogni dettaglio, confermando il valore di una proposta che, seppur con prezzi non dei più bassi, incarna autentica tradizione e qualità.

We arrived close to closing time; but I had promised my children a sandwich with eel, and a very kind lady, seeing their disappointment (and my disconsolate face) decided to grant our wish anyway. A gesture of rare kindness that allowed us to experience a special moment: the sandwich was truly excellent, gourmet. I therefore want to thank both for the excellence that was offered to us and for the welcome, because kindness is never taken for granted and I believe it should always be recognized
