This restaurant is located in the center of Modena. Four of us went for an aperitivo. The menu is extensive, with a wide variety of food, wine, beer, and cocktails.
We ordered a platter (with various cold cuts and cheeses), two Camparis, and two draft beers. The service was very quick, and the prices are average for the place.

I went to eat here with a group of friends. We ordered a plate of pumpkin cappellacci (€10), two large platters (€29 each), four portions of fried pinzini, plus desserts and various drinks. The first course was good. The platters, on the other hand, were average, nothing special. The platter consisted of four types of cured meats, two types of cheese, and a small bowl divided in half by two jams. Aside from the lack of variety, what disappointed me was that for a €30 platter, they didn't even bring any bread/tigelle/slices of piada/pinzini. They didn't even give us anything to nibble on while we waited. The pinzini were very soft and deflated, almost looking stale.

We had dinner, but more of an aperitif. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Not cheap; the only downside was that the tortelloni were microwaved. The staff was always friendly and attentive.

A truly authentic spot in the heart of Modena, just steps from the Duomo. La Bicicletta is one of those places where a Modenese would come to eat truly traditional dishes: the cuisine here is authentic, genuine, and perfectly represents Modena's culture.
Really fair prices and generous portions. The lasagna is spectacular, but the gnocco fritto, tigelle, tortellini, and all the other Emilian dishes on the menu are also highly recommended.
Honorable mention goes to the host: incredibly friendly and welcoming. When we left, he even told us a joke that had us laughing out loud, ending the evening in the best possible way.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to taste the real Modena! 🍝🥟🇮🇹
