I go to BERLOCCA a couple of times a year when I'm on vacation in Ortona. It feels like home; the pizzas are excellent, as are the meat and pasta dishes. The owners are very kind and professional, and they make their customers feel at home. Thanks guys, see you soon.

As a vegetarian, it's not easy to dine well in this part of Abruzzo, between Fossacesia and Ortona, but I felt truly welcomed here. Finally, a place where you can not only find options, but also enjoy a true taste experience. The pizza dough is incredibly soft and light, the pizz e fuoj (pizza and pasta) took me back to authentic traditions, the cacio e ova (cheese and egg) balls were a delicious surprise, and the fresh vegetables really make all the difference. What made the evening special was not only the quality of the dishes, but also the beauty of the setting and the friendliness of the waiters, always attentive and smiling. A restaurant where you can feel warmth, tradition, and hospitality: I will definitely return.

Five of us showed up without a reservation, and despite the overwhelming crowd, they still welcomed us and quickly arranged for us to sit and eat. I had hot and cold appetizers, and rintrocili with speck, ricotta, and pistachios... I ate the best rintrocili of my life. Prices were fair. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I'll definitely be back.

Arriviamo un po' prima del previsto e veniamo accolti dai proprietari. Il ristorante si trova al centro di un gruppetto di abitazioni a Villa Iubatti. Ci lasciamo consigliare alla scoperta di piatti tipici pallotte cacio e ova trippa una verdura con mais e arrosticini. Una cena buonissima !! Nico tra i tavoli intrattiene i suoi ospiti e il padre che ancora fa il pane si da da fare come può. Una vera ospitalità familiare. Resta il ricordo di una esperienza di accoglienza ospitalità e simpatia grazie ...torneremo sicuramente da queste parti. Saluti da Perugia!

15/09/2025: This is another discovery worth mentioning. We stumbled upon this place purely by chance, while wandering around San Salvo and taking the road to Cupello. Late at lunchtime, we checked Google and it pointed us to this place. The owner, despite it being closing time, hosted us in the practically deserted restaurant, and we enjoyed the special attention. I have to say, I was very impressed with the well-maintained place and the dishes, both aesthetically and tastefully. The experience was beyond positive, and if I were ever in the area again, I would definitely visit again. Also noteworthy is the outside area, which, despite being in the village, has a beautiful view. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit. Although it calls itself an "osteria," the prices don't reflect that name, but we noticed this immediately from the first courses, which were more gourmet than osteria-style. For three of us, including several 1/2 portions, we paid €100, but despite everything, we were all more than satisfied with our lunch here.

04/10/2025: We stopped by chance at the port of Ortona for a stroll, and from there, we discovered a whole new world! 🚴‍♀️🌊 We took a bike ride along the coast—despite the somewhat challenging route—and then stopped at the Doppia Vela restaurant ⛵️, right on the port, for a simple coffee. The very kind owner thought we wanted lunch, so we decided to make a reservation for 2:30 PM. We ate wonderfully: everything was delicious, well-organized, and the staff was courteous and helpful. But what struck us most was the attention to accessibility: perfectly accessible bathrooms, a comfortable ramp to enter, and enough space for a wheelchair user. We highly recommend it, both for the quality of the food and the great attention to detail they give to all their customers! 💙♿️🍝
30/09/2025: We arrived at the peak of lunchtime and hadn't made a reservation. We had cycled from Valle Caterina, 25 km away, and looked quite sweaty from the heat. Nevertheless, the owner asked us to wait a bit and even offered us a free drink while we waited. After a short wait, we were assigned a table overlooking the harbor. We ate octopus with potatoes, fried calamari, and swordfish. All the dishes were beautifully prepared and tasted delicious. Although the restaurant was packed, the food came quickly and the staff was very professional.
