Passing by, we had the pleasure of finding this place where we had a very good lunch. Recommended.

I was passing through this road, and as lunchtime approached, I stopped at a farmhouse. When they saw I was alone, they made excuses not to prepare something for me. Shaking the dirt from under my sandals, I continued on my journey and noticed La Baracca. Attracted both by the parking (there's plenty) and by the atmosphere, which promised typical local food, I stopped. And I must say, I didn't regret it. For my appetizer, I ordered pallotte cac'e ove, delicious meatless meatballs, typical of Abruzzo cuisine. Truth be told, I'd eaten them before, but never so good and so full of sauce: mouth-watering! For my first course, I was recommended "chitarrina," spaghetti alla chitarra with red sauce. I must say, the generous portion is just right for those returning from the fields after a morning's work, as in the olden days. In both my case and that of my neighbors, there was nothing left on the plate. Note: the dish was served with a spoon inserted into the dish, one of the three ways etiquette recommended eating spaghetti. Finally, it was definitely worth making room for the arrosticini, another typical dish of the area. They were also delicious, and served with a touch of "rural class" in a ceramic jug, adding yet another touch of folklore to the entire meal. To drink: a glass of the ever-present Montepulciano. Congratulations to Dante, Ornelia, and son (I think) for their welcome, their suggestions, and the delicious recipes.

Excellent food especially the pizza alla diavola and the arrosticini, impeccable service and super welcoming and kind owner. Highly recommended place. Really excellent👌🏻

La Baracca never disappoints, time seems to have stopped here, we were with friends at the evening where the great maestro and composer Dario Baldan Bembo performed, who among other things sang Minuetto written by him for Mia Martini, La Baracca over the years has brought the greatest better than many municipalities and I have said it all, live music DJ dance floor karaoke, there was also a lottery to try to win a little boy of wine, outdoor tables, but above all exquisite attentive and professional staff, good and abundant food we finished with an endless series of gentian cicchetti too good see photo, in joy and lightheartedness, it is a place that I recommend to groups of friends to free their minds from these too frenetic and stressful times to sing dance eat and drink and stay outdoors in joy like in the old days, what more could you want!
