Fabulous food and great service

When I took a shared taxi from the airport in Rome to the hotel, the driver recommended this restaurant, saying, "Tourists rarely come here, it's delicious, and it's not too expensive." It was a little far from the hotel, but I made a reservation and took the bus there. A small old man who is probably the owner greeted me. Since I had made a reservation, I was shown to my seat right away. I was wondering what to order, but I ordered artichokes, carbonara, risotto, and house wine. In Italy, bread is served, but this restaurant served baked pizza dough instead of bread. It was super hot, a little salty, and crispy and delicious. I think this pizza dough is unique to this restaurant. The artichokes are soft and have a gentle taste. The carbonara noodles are thick, like a slightly thinner udon. The taste was very good. I ordered the risotto with blue cheese, but it felt a little salty. But I think this is probably the normal taste. The rice was cooked to perfection, and I was impressed that the risotto at this restaurant is different. It seemed like a restaurant loved by locals. There was one group of people there who I thought might be tourists. The restaurant seemed to be in a quiet area, a little different from the downtown area where we were staying, and seemed less noisy. I was glad that we took the bus all the way here.

The food is of excellent quality. You eat as God commands, very generous portions. I recommend this place for those who love the real fork

This is a family owned place that locals dine at & that should tell you everything you need to know. The dad plates the dishes himself with extreme care. The menu is only comprised of authentic & old timey italian dishes and everything we had was great. What we didn't have we saw other tables get and it was all mouth watering. Best place to really taste Rome.

A proper traditional family restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. We visited on a Friday night so it was very busy but service was quick and the staff friendly and welcoming. We all had pasta dishes which were delicious but there were many other options including some vegetarian. The other customers were mostly local Romans who could not have been more welcoming. The house wine was good and the meal was good value.

Trattoria tradizionale, frequentata soprattutto da romani dove si trovano i veri sapori di Roma, con diversi piatti anche fuori menu. Prezzi onesti, servizio cordiale e disponibile ad andare incontro alle esigenze del cliente. Assolutamente consigliato.

Uno dei migliori ristoranti in zona.. ottimi i primi e i secondi sia di carne che di pesce. Cacciagione e funghi quando si stazione. Posto fantastico!!
