I had the fortune of being in Rome in July 2025. I was exploring on my own, walking past lots of tourist traps when I found Krugh. Although it was hot, I decided to sit outside under the umbrella and have some lunch. A refreshing spritzer paired with some fresh bread and pasta really hit the spot. This was my second day in Rome, and this was easily the best meal I had while there.

My family and I had dinner on December 22nd at this restaurant on the pedestrian street of Borgo Pio. The man outside kindly showed us the menu, inviting us to eat in the covered outdoor area.
We ordered an appetizer and shared some typical Roman dishes.
I must say that the dishes were generous and not overly seasoned. The man was true to his word, and we were very satisfied.
Bye, I'll be back to the Vatican. I'll definitely be back to visit Antonio at the Krugh restaurant.

We went twice and each time we had a wonderful meal. The pasta was homemade and delicious. The pizzas and desserts, like the tiramisu, were excellent. It wasn't more expensive than anywhere else: €55 for two (main courses, desserts, and coffee).
The staff is very welcoming and friendly and also speaks French. Sometimes a little too welcoming, if you will, as many Roman restaurant owners approach you in the street, and this one is no exception. That said, aside from this sales tactic which can be perceived as aggressive, it's one of the best restaurants we ate at in Rome.

This is the usual restaurant in a busy tourist area, so it doesn't have a high rating for a restaurant with high expectations, but overall it's okay. I ate decently, the pasta was precooked, and the service could be improved. It's fine for a quick stop and a quick stop on your way to the next stop.

We went for lunch today. The owner was very kind in welcoming us and recommending typical Roman dishes to try. The service, though not excellent, could be improved. Overall, a positive experience; the dishes were tasty!
The value for money was average.
Recommendation? The homemade meatballs in tomato sauce are a must.
