Kronenwirt In Bressanone

A wonderful weekend, thanks in part to the hospitality of the Krone staff. It's very close to the center, and you can leave your car in the garage and explore Bressanone without a care in the world. Highly recommended restaurant.

First time at this hotel, excellent central location in Bressanone. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious. We dined at the hotel as we booked half board. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. A tip for those staying half board, as they offer a tasting menu. Offering typical local dishes is an alternative to the menu, as some guests may have allergies or dislike certain dishes. Overall

Nice hotel, very central, clean, good breakfast... reasonable price. Booking was easy.

The hotel is very distinctive, with a modern and original design. The room is spacious but a bit bare in terms of furnishings. The bathroom has very low-mounted fixtures and an old-fashioned hairdryer, unsuitable for a 4-star hotel. The bathroom appears to have been renovated. The spa is very small (sauna and Turkish bath). The pool is outdoor, and we hadn't realized this from the description of the amenities, so we didn't use it. The relaxation area overlooking the spa isn't marked because it's behind a closed door, like many others in that spa area. So, without anyone knowing, we politely didn't open it. When we asked if there were herbal teas or water, etc., they told us we couldn't see properly and that herbal teas and loungers were available, just look. Yes, but if someone doesn't write "relaxation room" on the door, polite people (I know there are only a few left in the world) tend not to open closed doors. The restaurant is good, but the menu isn't typical South Tyrolean, but international. Abundant breakfast. We had half board, and on the second evening we ate within an hour of our arrival because they had some problems in the kitchen. We told the waiters, but alas, there was little we could do. But they were in chaos. Based on our experience of 4-star or higher hotels in South Tyrol, we consider it a good 3-star hotel, but not a 4-star.

The hotel has an excellent location in the pedestrian area, but hotel guests can access the private parking by car. Our room was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the mountains, and the bathroom was also very large with 2 sinks. Excellent service was available, and the spa offered massages, a sauna, and a steam bath. There is no swimming pool, but I read that you have free access to the Acquarena facility in Bressanone. The breakfast was plentiful and the desserts were delicious, and the mini-krafen were excellent. The restaurant where breakfast is also served also has excellent dishes and pizza.

Centrally located, easily accessible

The hotel itself and the room are very nice, spacious, and equipped with everything you need. The furnishings are quite luxurious, but some parts are also a bit dated (e.g., the mirror in the bathroom was fogged up, and the spa area in general is showing its age; some of the showers weren't working properly, and the sauna is quite old and small—it can comfortably fit about four people sitting down, but it gets cramped with more). However, other areas were very nice and more modern (e.g., the lobby, breakfast area, suites, and the lounge area in the room). The view from the spa area on the 5th floor is beautiful, both during the day and at night. The minibar in the room has something for everyone and is very reasonably priced. Although my room faced the pedestrian walkway, it was very quiet throughout. The bed was very comfortable and came with an extra pillow. Breakfast was varied, with bread, rolls, pancakes and other pastries, eggs, a rather small selection of cold cuts, various muesli options, fresh fruit and vegetables, juices, and a good selection of coffees and teas. A highlight for me was the massage with Elisabeth at the spa; a visit to her is definitely worthwhile. The reception staff were also extremely friendly and accommodating, and a late check-out was possible without any problems or extra charge. I was also able to leave my luggage at reception while I went out for lunch. All of this made my stay at the Hotel Krone a very pleasant experience, and I would highly recommend it.

This hotel is quite dated! If I had paid full price, I would have been very annoyed. The breakfast is unimaginative and always the same! The staff seems completely unmotivated! It's rare to find anyone who's had a good day. The rooms are old, and the bathrooms are outdated! I will not be staying there again!

Great location, just wrong season when I stayed. Car park is €15. There is a restaurant inside which serves good food.
