We are not gelato pros but we’re sure trying. This is the best we’ve found in Ortesei and is better than the many we tried in Merano. The best best best over the past month is in Bolzano, but this place starts to approach that level. Here we particularly liked the pistachio and the salted caramel. Highly recommend.

Ristorante dell'Hotel Trudnerhof

01/06/2025: A very nice hotel in a great location. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Breakfast and dinner were incredibly delicious. We were there with two children (9 and 12 years old), and both loved the food. Everything was freshly prepared and beautifully presented; even seconds were no problem. The hotel is located in the village center, a bus stop is a minute away, and the location is perfect for starting hikes. Melanie gave us excellent tips and recommendations for excursions and hikes. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend the hotel! Thank you very much, Melanie, Andreas, and the team!
