A great place to spend time. Wonderfully prepared slopes for both skiing and snowboarding. We highly recommend it.

Mottolino is Livigno's largest ski resort, offering 27 slopes totaling over 30 km, with eight lifts. The resort has three recreational areas: the high-altitude huts of M'eating Point and Camanel di Planon, which can also be reached by foot via the lifts, and the Kosmo Taste the Mountain restaurant in the valley, at the cable car's starting point. The resort boasts a snowpark with over 60 facilities. It's possible to climb to the resort's highest point, Monte della Neve (2,785 m), which offers stunning and picturesque views.

I visited Mottolino Fun Mountain on a Tuesday, and overall it was a really nice experience. The structure looks new and modern, and once you take the lift up, the view is absolutely breathtaking. Compared to other ski resorts, the skipass prices are actually quite reasonable.A special mention for the rental service — they were super professional and friendly, and for the first time ever, I got ski boots that fit perfectly and didn’t hurt at all.I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars because buying a ticket was unnecessarily complicated. I already had a Snowit card and bought the pass through the Mottolino website, but I couldn’t upload it to the card. The automated pick-up machines didn’t work, and I ended up having to get a new card with a deposit from the front desk, where the staff wasn’t particularly welcoming. For a place that looks so modern, Mottolino’s online systems and ticketing process could use improvement — it feels like multiple websites handle passes differently. Also, as a beginner, I specifically chose Mottolino for its blue run down to the valley, but the slope was closed that day even though there was plenty of snow. It seemed like it just hadn’t been groomed, which was a bit disappointing.

A very good ski resort, suitable for all needs. Numerous slopes, which until last season were well-groomed and well-maintained. This year, it's suffering somewhat from a lack of natural snow. The construction work for the Olympics is impressive, but it has made the descent to the Mottolino gondola less comfortable and has demonstrated a lack of respect for the environment. Food options are limited to crowded, noisy, or inaccessible restaurants.
Assistance is available and can be seen responding promptly. A few "scoldings" for skiers who disregard safety standards wouldn't hurt.

Mottolino Fun Mountain is the "more freestyle" side of Livigno – lots of fun, good organization, and well-groomed slopes. There are 27 trails with a reasonable range of difficulty (6 blue, 16 red, and 5 black), so everyone will find something for themselves, and the snow groomers do a great job – the trails are regularly and thoroughly groomed.
The infrastructure is modern and fast: the gondola, chairlifts, and T-bar lifts are operational, and the capacity allows for efficient traffic management.
If you enjoy freestyle, there's a strong argument: the snow park has over 60 obstacles spanning approximately 800 meters, offers various difficulty lines, and even a Natural Pipe. And historically, Mottolino has been building the "Fun Mountain" brand for years, a place where skiing isn't just about downhill skiing, but also about style and fun on the snow.
Mottolino Fun Mountain is the more freestyle-oriented side of Livigno – well organized, fun, and consistently well-groomed. The area offers 27 slopes with a solid mix of levels (6 blue, 16 red, 5 black), so it works for beginners, intermediates, and confident skiers alike.
The lift system is modern and efficient, including a gondola plus chairlifts and drag lifts, keeping the flow on the mountain smooth.
Freestyle is where Mottolino really stands out: the Snowpark features 60+ obstacles across an 800-meter zone with multiple lines for different skill levels, and there’s also the Natural Pipe – a natural, 100+ m long terrain “half-pipe” shaped by the mountain itself.
Historically, Mottolino has built its identity around the “Fun Mountain” concept – skiing with an extra layer of style and playful energy.

The Motolino ski area in Livigno is fantastic. The slopes are well-groomed and suitable for a wide range of skill levels, from intermediate to advanced. What stood out most was how smoothly everything runs — the lifts are efficient with minimal waiting times, even during peak hours. The views from the top are breathtaking, with wide-open panoramas that make skiing there feel truly special.
The terrain is varied and fun, offering long runs that keep you going without feeling repetitive. Snow conditions were reliable and well-maintained, which made each descent enjoyable. There are also great options for après-ski and mountain huts along the way for food and drinks, so you can take breaks without losing the vibe.
Overall, Motolino in Livigno is one of the best ski experiences I’ve had — excellent slopes, gorgeous scenery, and very well-organized. Highly recommended for anyone who loves skiing.
