The only reason I gave 5 stars to the service is due to the presence and helpfulness of a waitress whose name I don't know but she had a ponytail with long hair, not very tall, thin, and wore glasses. She was very helpful while a guy at the counter was very grumpy and didn't look the customers in the face.

I've read some negative reviews, well, what can I say? I've been going to their sushi place for a few years now, and honestly, I've always liked it; I'm still alive and well. Sometimes the dishes can take a little longer to arrive, but that depends on how many people there are; otherwise, everything arrives very quickly. I'm not saying it's the best—to say that, I'd have to try every sushi restaurant in Florence—but it's definitely not the worst, as some have claimed. I recommend going at least once, and then the decision to return or not is a personal one.

We are a hungry Chinese American family of five. It has been 6 days in Italy. No food, no water. Just pizza and pasta. We were on our way to another pizza place. Then, like a lake in the desert, Koi Japanese Restaurant appeared. The AYCE saved us, we bussed down sashimis, yakitoris, ramens, edamames, with a beautiful view of the Duomo, at a toe tickling price. 10/10 would recommend

Excellent place, best sushi I've had in Florence. Service is efficient, fast, and helpful. Dishes are well-presented, and the price is more than excellent. For anyone looking for a good lunch or dinner, I highly recommend coming here.
