What can I say... EXCEPTIONAL! Traditional sushi and many signature dishes, an excellent sake menu, and truly perfect flavors. The tuna tataki is truly superior.

Delicious and surprising... a feast for the palate and the eyes. Go and try it. It's expensive, but it's worth it.

I loveddd their Akaebi Sashimi! So fresh so sweet!❤️. The bento was also a pretty huge portion, with a cute touch of Matcha Salt! Very unique🍵. Amazing service team as well, very friendly and helpful.

Everything was delicious, I rediscovered the flavors I tasted in Japan, a wonderful place, it wasn't the first time and it won't be the last.

I must say that, despite the high quality, it's a bit overpriced: in Rome, you can eat excellent sushi of the same level and quality at other restaurants for less. We ate à la carte, but the tasting menu looks very interesting and I'd like to try it in the future.

“The best authentic Japanese restaurant in Rome.” This was my enthusiastic verdict after my first dinner, in August, the last day before the restaurant closed for the summer. On that occasion, I dined at the counter with my wife and a Japanese couple. It had been a perfect evening. I returned today for a birthday party; we dined at a table in the first-floor dining room at the back. The service was sloppy and not as attentive as the first time; the waits between courses exceeded thirty minutes. On several occasions, I had to get up to pour wine for my guests. The dishes were not changed for an extra futomaki we ordered after the main course. The fish at Kaisen Chirashi was definitely of inferior quality to the one Tonari had enjoyed in London just the day before. At the end of the dinner, the birthday girl was brought a mini portion of Japanese cake with a candle—provided by us—as a courtesy. We had warned her that it was a special occasion. Embarrassing. This time, I found the price decidedly disproportionate to the experience. I'm sorry for my initial, decidedly hasty, judgment; I think it's a good rule of thumb to try a restaurant at least a couple of times before making a judgment. I'll be back for my final review.

Truly a phenomenal restaurant. The location is beautiful and very well-maintained. The Japanese style is evident, but without being banal. It's definitely not for everyone, but it's worth it.

The restaurant has a very cozy and minimalist interior. It's clean, has a pleasant atmosphere, and the service is excellent. The cuisine is very similar to Japanese (I've been to Japan), but it's different from the original. However, the presentation is beautiful, and the tuna was excellent.
