You definitely shouldn't miss this place when visiting Tropea! They make fantastic fried seafood served in a paper cone. The staff is very kind and helpful; even though I arrived quite late and they didn't have much left, they still prepared an amazing meal for me. There is an outdoor bar right next door and it’s located on the Cathedral square, so the atmosphere is exactly what you’d imagine. Superb

Fantastic seafood at a very affordable price. A cone filled with shrimp, octopus, mussels, calamari, and fish costs 13-15 euros. We ordered the extended version—one cone for two with a slightly spicy sauce—for 15 euros, and we were full for two. The service was fantastic, very friendly, and there's a drinks bar next door.

went here for an evening snack. had the Tonetto sandwich and the Vuci du Mare (fried fish, octopus, prawns and mussels). everything was fresh and well flavoured, especially the fried fish. the staff were friendly and attentive.

Situated in a little spot close to a small square, this small shop offers the most fresh and tasty fish that I’ve ever tasted in Tropea. For sure I’ll come back to try the fresh tuna sandwich! Thanks guys! Keep going!

Taverna Dei Borboni

15/04/2026: A restorative dinner after the stop on the parks' bike path. The pappardelle with wild boar was excellent, and the fennel and radicchio salad was also good. The recommended Amaro liqueur was delicious! Highly recommended!
07/04/2026: It's a very welcoming restaurant with fresh, traditional mountain food. The waiters are very polite.
