Knödelglück In Merano

Ein fanatisches Restaurant, wir hatten Glück und haben einen Tisch auf der Terasse erhalten. Der Service war sehr gut und aufmerksam. Das Essen „Gulasch vom Jungbullen mit Knödel und Weißkrautsalat“ war traumhaft gut. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

Bella posizione, locale piacevole, culto dei canederli ben preparati e offerti in varie modalità; noi abbiamo provato i canederli con i finferli (non molti) e quelli con il gulasch, entrambi buoni e in giusta quantità. Abbiamo speso 42,5€ bevande escluse.

First of all: We didn't eat well anywhere in Merano and the surrounding area! No matter whether specialties or simply pizza. But dumpling happiness stands out once again. Without exception delicious dishes. No matter which course, sophisticated dumplings with fresh herbs and everything Dish with its own taste. When serving, the chef explains what is on the plate and questions are allowed. Not a standard meal (where else can you get calf's head today?), but implemented ideas. All of this in a beautiful ambience with a view. Nothing wrong with the service. What I personally want to emphasize: You can tell that everyone is having fun at work, there should be an extra star for that ⭐️. We came across dumpling luck quite by chance while strolling... someone once called our four-legged friend "Knödler"... and we became curious...

The Knödelglück is located on a hillside on the edge of Meran with an idyllic view over the valley. The dishes are excellent and lovingly prepared. The staff is also very friendly. The food is served personally by the boss, who is not above a brief explanation of the dishes. All in all very recommendable.

If eating is not just about nourishment, but enjoyment, this is absolutely the right place for you! The owners know what they are doing and enjoy it. Always new, surprising creations and little delicacies make the visit an experience. Added to this is the cheerful hospitality of the innkeepers!

Service was quick but not very cordial, Vitello Tonnato was very average, I found pulled pork to be rather weak, salad was ok, apricot dumplings for dessert were tasty. Unfortunately very average restaurant that evening.
