Kilometro Zero In Poggio imperiale

Very good meat and pasta with generous portions. Starters to share with excellent quality local raw materials.

Returning from holidays we went out to Poggio Imperiale, eight km later we reached the town of the same name, it was 1pm no one around, not even a dog. 😁 We reached the restaurant, welcomed by the manager in a fresh and tastefully furnished room. We ordered all the vegetable dishes he proposed: grilled aubergines and courgettes, peppers with onion and sultanas, sautéed chicory with garlic, as an appetizer. All good but I recommend the peppers for those who digest them. First courses: gnocchi with tomato and cacio ricotta, cavatelli with turnip greens, anchovies and high aromas, "slow" sauce but with a little Apulian bread it works out... the coffee is good and this is never a given! We will be back!

We went to this place on Saturday for lunch and let's say we had a great time. It wasn't a great experience as we had the impression of not being welcome guests but people just to be served and sent away. Normal food but nothing exceptional. Overall I wouldn't return.

Once off the highway we had dinner at this nice place. Very clean place (including bathroom), kindness and hospitality from the owner and lady, excellent food, all very fresh and truly 0 km. Highly recommended!
