Katsusanderia In Milano

Good taste but portions a bit small. Service? What service? You grab your sandwich from a window directly from the kitchen and walk in a shared room with other 4 window-food places.... btw, 2€ for a expresso machiato (but served as "art-latte") in that shared room. Recomended for one single experience

Saturday evening at 7:00 PM, we are two adults and one child. We order three sandwiches, two waters, and a beer for €46.50. After a few minutes, we go to pick them up and ask for one of them to be cut in half. The cashier firmly and politely says no, adding that if they were to do it for everyone, they'd have trouble managing it. Incidentally, there were no customers at the time. I show my shocked face (F4 for anyone who catches the reference), and from the back, my partner adds that it's for our two-year-old daughter. The cashier, weighing it, says that then she's doing it as a favor and an exception, reiterating what she said before. That said, I have no problem with rules. When I'm a guest at someone's home, I ask and understand certain decisions that I generally consider legitimate. I'm truly the last person to think the customer is **always** right (which I consider stupid in that temporal adverb), but the customer should definitely be listened to and the context should be considered. Frankly, my request was polite, as well as legitimate, and I find the initial refusal and the burden of it rather surreal. Incidentally, in the 40 minutes we were there, they sold 5 sandwiches, 3 of which were ours.

Very nice idea, several places next to each other that offer different types of street food with the possibility of eating outside at the tables (difficult at peak times if you don't book) or even inside in the last place (opposite the kutsusanderia). As for the food, a nice discovery! Excellent aubergines and potato salad, highly recommended!

The place is in the context of multiple food shops where you can order and then bring your food to the tables outside (or inside) shared by multiple food stalls. Great ambience and generally not too crowded, however the food of katsusanderia is just average for the high price tag. I tried a sando and some sides but nothing to go back for.

Really nice space overlooking the street, there should be more like this! Good food and kudos to the visual direction of the place, I loved the graphics.

I've wanted to try Katsusando for years. Expectations absolutely did not disappoint. We took two of us; • Katsusando Classico: Homemade shokupan, fried pork loin, cabbage, mustard mayonnaise, and tonkatsu sauce; • Chicken Karaage: Japanese-style marinated and fried chicken pieces with wasabi mayonnaise; • Sumiso aubergines: Salted and steamed aubergines, red miso sauce and rice vinegar, extra virgin olive oil and sesame seeds; • Potato Salad: Potatoes dressed with mayonnaise, carrots, cucumbers and onion. €18.50 each. Everything absolutely delicious. Highly recommended! Being a photographer I focus a lot on light and framing so I also attach some shots. I would like to collaborate with them for a photo shoot.
