Kame Ramen In Pavia

Ho cenato da Kame Ramen venerdì, approcciandomi per la prima volta (ma non ultima!) al ramen. Il locale è piccolo ma accogliente, ho però trovato il tutto un po' sconclusionato e senza un filo conduttore, capisco il voler alludere all'asia e alla sua cultura ma alcuni oggetti alle pareti parevano messi un po' a caso, con poca cura. Sarebbe bastato meno ma più pensato. Inoltre il nostro tavolo era in un angolino con un odore un po' spiacevole che ha purtroppo influenzato tutta la cena. Detto ciò il cibo è buono, il ramen super gustoso, soprattutto quello con il ragù piccante. Bao ben fatto e sfizioso. Prezzi forse un pochino alti per le porzioni. Tutto sommato non mi sono trovata male ma mi aspettavo un po' più di cura al dettaglio. La ragazza che si occupa di tutto, dall'accoglienza al servizio, è molto molto carina e gentile. Forse ci tornerò per ricredermi.

Unfortunately experience more no than yes. Starting from the menu which was not complete, with many dishes not present (ramen dj mushrooms, dish of the day, some beers). Good starter, but not very full of flavour. Ramen, on the other hand, we're just not there... vegetable and tofu ramen, completely tasteless, it seemed like something was missing (miso? Soy sauce?) D Good mochi and also the particular cheesecake All for 33 euros, which is really too much for what we ate. Sin

Unfortunately, expectations were not met: we were excited to try the cuisine of this place in the heart of Pavia (also because the photos on their website were very promising), however we were rather disappointed, especially for the execution of the courses. Small location, but managed quite well with enough space between one table and another. The big flaw that influenced my rating for the service was the lack of many dishes and drinks on the menu and therefore the choices were almost obligatory, especially if you wanted to eat vegetarian. I started with the eggplant bao and it was quite good. As the main course I opted for the veggie ramen which turned out to be rather neutral and tasteless, lacking the punch in the dish. To conclude, I shared with my friends a cheesecake whose name turned out to be misleading as it had nothing to do with the real recipe and the ice cream mochi, good but too cold. I count too much on the quality of the food offered.

Small but cute place, amazing bao, VERY GOOD ramen, and the cake....I have no words!!!!

I wanted to try ramen for the first time and, searching, I found Kame Ramen, a place located right in the center of Pavia. The place is small, but really welcoming. I chose to try the "chicken katsu ramen", accompanied by "pork gyoza" and, to finish on a sweet note, a "Japanese cheesecake". For being my first time, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors are particular, far from the familiar notes of Italian cuisine, but intriguing and engaging. Another plus point is definitely the quality of the products, which can be perceived in every bite. Furthermore, the prices are absolutely accessible and not at all high, an aspect that makes the experience even more appreciable. An experience that won me over and that certainly makes me want to return, perhaps to explore other dishes on the menu. Recommended for those who want to approach something new and different!

the savory pancake was delicious but unfortunately I didn't like the ramen, it wasn't authentic. However the place is quite nice.

How wonderful it is to be able to enjoy authentic Japanese dishes without having to travel to Milan or who knows where! In the center of Pavia, Kame Ramen gave me a fantastic dinner based on Japanese tradition, and I already know I'll be back often! We started with the grilled ravioli and the bao stuffed with meat and fried chicken. The dumplings were delicious, but the bao… amazing! The one with the fried chicken, in particular, was one of the most memorable dishes of the evening: I have never tasted such crispy and perfectly cooked chicken! Then came the star of the dinner: ramen. Mine, with bacon, had a full-bodied and tasty broth, while the homemade noodles were plentiful and really good. Also absolutely worth trying is the pork ragù that a friend bought, a real discovery! We left full and happy, both for the food and the impeccable service, all at an honest price, considering the location a stone's throw from the Duomo. Absolutely recommended, a big yes!

Essendo un appassionato di cibo orientale ho già provato diversi locali, sia nella zona che nella provincia di Alessandria da cui arrivo e devo dire che la qualità del ramen, così come dei gyoza e della cheesecake giapponese che ho potuto assaggiare in questo locale, mi ha davvero stupito piacevolmente! Io ho preso un “chicken katsu ramen” e la mia fidanzata il ramen coi funghi, qualità molto alta e prezzo ottimo! Il locale è abbastanza spartano, ma arredato con un minimal che strizza l’occhio al Giappone. Servizio preciso, cordiale e molto rapido. Torneremo sicuramente!
