Elegant, minimal-chic location, with authentic cuisine.
A simple menu, including traditional Sicilian dishes, masterfully revisited with a semi-gourmet twist, focusing on the local and seasonal ingredients used.
The young but well-prepared chef, Ciccio Fricano, is meticulous and passionate about documentary experimentation in cuisine.
The synergy with his team is wonderful.
Their pasta dishes and homemade pastas, made with local flours, are fresh and crumbly, with a raw touch that reflects current health dictates.
The finely selected wine list features a careful selection of regional wines, especially the section dedicated to DOCG sparkling wines, and the Champagnes.
The service is attentive and thorough, with a perfect maître d' sommelier and a skilled bar tender.
Perfect value for money, at the same time on par with the rest of the industry, especially with the tasting menu that stands out from the competition.
It was a good decision to sign up to The Fork, a platform synonymous with modernity and attention to global social issues, a perfect advertising tool.

A perfect 10 dining experience
This isn't your typical restaurant; the dishes are very original and the ingredients are top-notch. Everything is delicious! The brioche bun with goat's milk mousse and prawn tartare is my favorite: a perfect balance of very fresh flavors.
They have a very comprehensive wine list with good prices.
The desserts are spectacular and so beautifully presented that it's almost a shame to eat them.
The staff is very professional, they explain everything perfectly and help you choose the right combinations.
The restaurant is beautiful and very welcoming. Five stars just isn't enough for me.

Last night my wife and I went to dinner at Kalamo, taking advantage of the 50% discount on The Fork. It was a wonderful culinary experience!!!
We ordered a fried egg with cavolo nero, which we shared. For starters, we ordered a truffle risotto with shrimp tartare (off-menu) and an open lasagna with broccoli and pine nut sauce. Next came pork belly and braised beef cheek. For dessert, we had a pear and tuma persa Bavarian cream and a sableé with chocolate mousse and apricot jelly.
We had still water and a bottle of Muscatedda wine. All the courses exceeded our expectations, both in terms of presentation and taste. The only flaw was the beef cheek, which was slightly dry but still delicious. The risotto was exceptional, and the desserts, in my opinion, were worthy of fine pastry.
The prices are in line with the quality of the dishes (an average of €20 per dish and €8 for dessert), which, with the Fork discount, are exceptional. The staff was particularly kind and honest, and during the presentation of the off-menu items, they explained the prices and clarified that they, like the tasting menus, were not included in the discount. The atmosphere was beautiful but not too formal. Highly recommended!
