Kaikaya In Malgrate

Very tasty, inexpensive, and with a great variety, but the portions are small.

The restaurant is located on one of Lecco's busiest and busiest streets, so finding parking can be challenging. The sushi is good quality. The service was efficient. The place is nice and clean. Overall, while it didn't have a "wow" factor, I consider it a good alternative to the sushi places in the area, which I've generally found to be more chaotic. The Chinese cuisine, however, I tried for takeout, and I found it to be good. The price for the all-you-can-eat option is slightly lower than the local average. Another advantage, parking permitting, is the opportunity to take a nice stroll along Lecco's lakefront to aid digestion and delight the view.

I ordered delivery last night. Reading the latest reviews, I preferred to wait 24 hours, lest there be any adverse effects. The sushi arrived looking beautiful, perhaps too much rice in the maki... the Venere rice was definitely not freshly made, but it was edible. The soy sauce was very acidic, but since I asked for teriyaki, I managed. I left four pieces in the fridge for today; once heated up a bit, they were almost better than yesterday. I expected worse from what I read, but instead...

Excellent quality and average prices. Very good sushi. Quiet place, very friendly staff.
