05/06/2026: The Massaria Li Campi is an absolute haven of peace set in lovely grounds with a beautifully maintained swimming pool area and is therefore the perfect centrally located place to relax when visiting the region of Lecce and further south. Whilst the rooms are deliberately kept simple, they are spotlessly clean and comfortable with air conditioning and seemingly limitless hot water. The breakfast is typically Italian & plentiful with home-baked patisseries made by Irini herself but she shows off her true culinary skills at dinner time with a fantastic choice of dishes which were absolutely delicious. As my wife & I have the pleasure of travelling for about 6 months each year, we have obviously stayed in many different accommodations and in our opinion, whilst there are many good and great places to stay, what sets the very best places apart and stays in our memories, is the hospitality and warmth of the hosts. And in Irini and Francessco, Massaria Li Campi has one of those very rare couples who provide the very top level of hospitality and kindness, not just because they are true professionals, but because it is simply in their natural characters and so it is provided in a totally natural way. And even Cassie, the Labradoodle follows their lead by welcoming guests in a warm & gentle manner! And so it is with sadness that we leave Masseria Li Campi today, but Irini, Alessandro & Cassie have left an indelible mark on our hearts, as well as in our memories, and if we are in the region again, we wouldn't even bother to look for anywhere else to stay.
