James Joyce Cafe In Trieste

We had two Aperol Spritz and they were very good and well priced. I would recommend. Nice view on the piazza.

A very cozy cafe-bar in an impressive Art Deco style! The iconic interior alone is (almost) a tourist attraction. The outdoor seating area on the piazza (not far from the Maria Theresa Thaler—that's something, too :)) is also very cozy, especially in nice weather! The Aperol Spritz are delicious and, by Trieste standards, almost inexpensive. So you (or at least I) are happy to turn a blind eye if the staff isn't particularly attentive (but always very friendly!) ;)

Historic place in Trieste dedicated to the great writer Joyce... The interior decor is very beautiful, elegant.... we had a pineapple juice 🍍 and a Pelinkovacs (typical Trieste bitter), the prices are low. Friendly and courteous staff, shame about the toilet 🚻: pitiful conditions to say the least... However, if you are in Trieste it is worth stopping...
