Top of the line...very elegant, clean and safe

The beach is beautiful. I've been there for dinner. The food is excellent, and there's always something going on. Afterwards, the night gets going with a dinner show and DJ set.

As a beach resort, there's nothing to complain about: well-maintained, a good size, courteous and polite staff, ideal for families. One exception is the restaurant service, which this year was taken over by a catering company with a fair amount of experience in beachside dining, but failed to live up to the expectations of its clientele, who in recent years had become accustomed to the more basic cuisine prepared by an excellent chef. This review refers to the 2020 beach season. For the current season (2021), the resort has undergone a renovation of some services, particularly the restaurant and bar service, and the clientele also appears to have undergone a makeover. A welcome gift from guests who have confirmed their attendance for the second consecutive season. As for the restaurant service, I'll reserve my opinion until I have the opportunity to use it, but the outlook is positive! Surprise of surprises!!! The 2021 summer season has been designed to ensure the exclusivity of its clientele and the services offered, with a significant increase in rates. In addition to some restaurant management mistakes and an inconsistent bar service, starting September 6th, without warning, the bar and restaurant services ceased to exist, forcing "VIP" customers (as the managers deemed them) to make a pilgrimage, for their culinary and recreational needs, to the active bars/restaurants of the neighboring beach resorts. A true VIP service offered by Jambo!!... a slap in the face for these gentlemen who play at being gentlemen while constantly stumbling!!!! Summer season 2022: indeed, there is something new this year: the management of the bar and restaurant has changed. The new managers have renovated the furnishings, also introducing some nice new features. So far, I've had the opportunity to use the bar, where I appreciated the courtesy and also the good coffee. I've received mixed reviews about the restaurant, but I'll comment on that after having tasted it for myself. Well, I'll update the restaurant situation. I've had lunch at "Tonga" three times and have always thoroughly enjoyed the meals: "chitarrina" with clams, "paccheri" with scampi sauce, and mixed fried fish. So, the new restaurant is tasty but not exactly cheap. Avoid the pizzas; it's better to get them from the neighboring "Plinius" restaurant. Summer 2026: finally, a properly managed restaurant seems to have returned!
