Jamantè In Polignano a mare

My experience was not good. I haven’t completed my risotto because it smelled strange and It wasn’t very tasty, at least not to my taste. And I was not even asked why. Services was good, just a not property washed glass for a wine. Probably I was expecting something wow from the restaurant in Italy mentioned in Michlene guide.

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Jamanté. This is a true fine dining experience. The service is impeccably formal and attentive, yet warm and friendly. We felt very well taken care of. The food provided creative twists on traditional tastes. And the atmosphere was absolutely gorgeous, while also soothing and comfortable. We especially loved the table! The only unfortunate thing is that despite being so near such a beautiful town and surroundings, the location doesn't allow for views. I guess the nice trade-off is that the place is a little quieter, more secluded, and less crowded than it would be if it was closer to the action of the center of town. It was actually kind of nice to step away from the livelier side of things!

The seafood in this restaurant is something you can never find in Asia! The owner is very friendly and recommends wines that go well with all the food here.

A definite recommendation. The price/performance ratio is definitely right. Aside from the excellent food, you immediately feel at home thanks to the excellent and warm service. The wine list is second to none. Tip: be sure to ask owner Gianluca for other restaurant recommendations. This led us to the Neuro, right in the old town, and the Pescheria Lo Scoglio, among others. Thanks for that. Anyone vacationing here should definitely visit Jamante. I've rarely had such fantastic sea bass in a salt crust.

A very elegant location, tastefully decorated, with many unique objects that celebrate Polignano a Mare. The food is excellent, as is the presentation. The owners and staff were very kind and professional. We loved everything and will be back ❤️

The best restaurant we've experienced in Puglia! It's certainly gourmet, so expect to pay €70-80 per person.

Mai ist in der Apulien noch Vorsaison, daher wenig los. Die Innenausstattung ein Mix aus kühl-elegant und Glaskitsch an der Wand und alsTischintarsien. Das Personal nett, aber nicht überbordend gastfreundlich. Die Antipasti wirklicg sehr gut, Tartar und Parmegana, Die Portionen leider sehr übersichtlich, nichts für hungrige Mäuler. Das selbst und frisch gebackene warme Brot sowie das dazu gereichte Öl hingegen absolut herausragend und die jeweils 5€ Coperto wert. Die beiden Pasti, Linguine und Orecchioni, leider nur lauwarm und geschmacklich nichts umwerfendes. Die beiden offenen Rotweine dazu ebenfalls ordentlich, aber auch nicht spektakulär und leider, wie so oft in Italien, sogar hier zu warm, nicht 18 sonder 25 Grad Raumtemperatur vom offenen Weinflaschen-Tisch neben uns. Insgesamt ambitioniert, aber noch reichlich Luft nach oben.
