Jager Bar In Macugnaga

It has always been my go-to place for excellent breakfasts, large brioches, excellent aperitifs with delicious platters and delicious snacks based on extraordinary cakes, true delicacies, reasonable prices. I have always been welcomed with kindness and friendliness in an environment that I was told has been renovated with a refined and unique taste. I have always found in Francesca and her children Laura and Alberto dear friends who I remember with affection. Our 4-legged friends are welcome. Macugnaga is a unique, enchanted beauty and the inhabitants always welcome you, as in this wonderful pastry shop, the pinnacle of the place. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful place and very kind staff, the owner is really nice, the cakes are fantastic, today I had a piece of strudel (unfortunately there was little left) but it was one of the best I have ever eaten

Renovated venue, courteous, and top-notch staff. The owner even let us bring our dog Lilly into the venue, and gave her a special dog biscuit. The soft drink and spritz we ordered were amazing, and the platter was rich and delicious. Highly recommended!

Excellent pastry shop located in the town hall square in Staffa Macugnaga. Excellent cakes for a hearty breakfast and a good selection of wines for a nice aperitif. Really friendly staff!

Chocolate and pistachio tarts are very good, prices are a little high, but you pay for quality.

Very nice place created in a typical building, renovated and furnished with great taste thanks to the extensive use of wood (probably local larch). The pastry shop is not very wide in choice (it is for a bar) but it looked good quality. We had an aperitif (post excursion to the glacier) and it satisfied us, also for the nice "mixed" tagliolini that accompanied the drink. The only flaw (otherwise it would have been a 5 star) is probably the external bathroom, a bit "minimal" and without distinction of sex, which in some moments can also create minutes of waiting, I expect it is not the best in winter.
