We're a family of six from Munich, Germany, and we discovered Donato's restaurant after a visit to the Costa Rei beach. It was the best meal of our vacation.
The kids had the lasagna, the best ever. Dad Uli had a pizza with traditional sausage and onions—yum!
I completely forgot about the delicious appetizer: Panzeroti—small dumplings filled with tomato and mozzarella!
Today is the second time we've been to Donato's because it was so delicious.
Definitely try it if you're in the area—it usually opens at 6:00 PM.

A very cute little place. The owner is incredibly friendly and explains his dishes, and you can tell he's passionate about what he does. The panzerotto he makes is one of the best I've ever had. The pizza isn't the usual pizza you'd get at a pizzeria; the dough is more like focaccia. It's still very good, and the dough is very easy to digest. We had a great time!

Super good pizza. We ate there, and there are a few tables outside. No service. You eat the pizza in a box. It's fine, but it's more suited to takeout. Besides pizzas, they also have other traditional Sardinian dishes, but they're made to order. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious. But in Sardinia, I feel like you're treated differently when you're a tourist... Unfortunately, the prices are different. We came for pizza, but the oven doesn't turn on until 6 p.m. So we got the squid pan... delicious, but €49 was more than the price list stated. It's not right for a few euros. There's no cutlery either; we eat from paper plates and cardboard cutlery.

The best panzerotto ever!!! The flavor, the cooking (double: first in oil, then in the pizza oven), the texture, the saltiness, the fragrance: everything was perfect. The owner, Donato, is incredibly friendly: he welcomes you, envelops you, and offers the best advice. Pizzas and focaccias made with traditional Sardinian ingredients. Rustic location, street food style, top-notch ingredients. Highly recommended.

Sono 5 anni che passo le mie vacanze nel comune di Castiadas. Pilastrus è una certezza!!! Mi diverto troppo! Mangio bene, i costi sono medi, il signor Pilastrus e la sua signora mitici. Benvenuti nel regno dei sapori 😂

Illusi dalle molte recensioni positive ci siamo recati in questo locale molto spartano sulla strada. I servizi igienici mancano come pure il servizio al tavolo. Ma fa nulla. Abbiamo provato i panzerotti che erano già pronti e sono quindi stati riscaldati. Riconosco non fossero per nulla unti ma il ripieno conteneva poco pomodoro ed uno strano formaggio che formava una specie di purea all'interno. Sapore strano. La pizza che abbiamo provato aveva uno strano impasto sembrava quasi una base già pronta, sicuramente non lo era, ma era molto particolare, può piacere come non può piacere. Ma in sostanza era molto lontana dalla focaccia barese come pure il panzerotto. Conto in linea con i prezzi delle zone turistiche della Sardegna. Non credo torneremo.
