We ate here a few days ago (Friday lunch, low season) and it was one of the best lunches in Sardinia so far.
Truly a special welcome and exceptional food.
Since artichokes are in season, we were offered a plate of spaghetti and artichokes (also available with sausage or bottarga). Being vegan, we were delighted to find a dish made simply with vegetables and so well done (unfortunately, not everyone knows how to showcase vegetables in the kitchen, but Donato is perfectly capable and passionate about it).
It's not a place with an extensive menu or table service; here, it's a bit like being at home. You eat what the kitchen offers based on the season and help yourself a bit, but always accompanied by excellent conversation and explanations of the dish and every carefully crafted detail.
In short, home-style cooking at a great price (€25 for two dishes and a beer, including homemade taralli! - obviously, if you choose the meat or fish option, I assume it'll be more expensive, rightfully so).
Thanks again, and we hope to come back to try the pizza someday!

We arrived at Donato's today at 1:30 PM and were greeted with rare kindness. He offered us spaghetti with artichokes, sincerely warning us that we'd have to wait a few minutes because it would be freshly prepared. The wait was well worth it: the spaghetti was simply exceptional, with a deliciousness reminiscent of homemade dishes, the ones your mother lovingly prepares for you.
We helped ourselves to forks, glasses, and drinks in a simple yet welcoming atmosphere that truly feels like home. The bill was surprisingly reasonable, especially considering the quality of the dish.
I thank Donato, a kind man and an extraordinary chef: his restaurant is an honest, family-friendly place, full of authentic beauty.

A very simple, cozy little shop with a very friendly owner! Donato and his wife do everything with great passion. He even uses Google Translate to explain his Sardinian cuisine and how he uses local products.
We ate outside under fairy lights, completely uncomplicated, from paper plates and pizza boxes – charming and authentic, in our opinion!
The pastry with tomato and mozzarella, the crispy-fluffy pizza (four cheese & asparagus), and the tiramisu were all delicious.
We'll definitely come back when we're in the area! Grazie mille 😊

The best tiramisu in Sardinia. We arrived at lunchtime and the pizza oven wasn't on yet, so the owner suggested we try the panzerotti, filled with tomato and mozzarella. Oh how good it was!!!

Authentic restaurant with a wonderful host.
The host went out of his way to explain Sardinian cuisine to his guests. They offer regional specialties. The pizza is very crispy. The appetizer and tiramisu are highly recommended. We will definitely be back.

Late afternoon, three signature pizzas after a day at the beach, with cheeses, sausage, and asparagus, and as an appetizer, one baked pierogi with mozzarella and tomatoes, for three people. Delicious. I recommend it.
