Our stay and experience at Pisa is literally saved by this restaurant and their simple and tasty food. If you are also visiting during hot season, don't forget to have their bhelpuri (you can keep chutney aside if you want to avoid sweetness like us). All other food ordered by us was- masala papad, butter nan, veg kohlapuri, veg raita, veg biryani two water bottles, one chai.

Intrigued by their cuisine, we stopped to try their specialties (among many restaurants offering all the usual tourist menus). Under their advice, we were able to discover a fantastic culinary culture, full of spices and very tasty. Their mango lassi to finish was the icing on the cake. Very characteristic place and super clean and tidy toilets, very fast service. Super recommended!

Brilliant meal, very polite and friendly staff, beautiful decor in the restaurant, delicious food! Service was quick and every bit of our meal amazing. We had the chicken tikka masala, peshwari naan bread, jeera rice and mutton dopiaza, would have again! Also the mango lassi was yummy. All for a very reasonable price. Definitely go!

It was authentic Indian food. The chicken curry was delicious and so was the mattar-paneer. The portion sizes aren’t too big. The staff were nice and friendly too. The location was good as it was on the way as one walks to the Pisa tower from the central railway station. The prices were lower than the cafés right next to the Pisa tower.

Molto colorato e intimo, non troppo lontano dal centro. Abbiamo mangiato qui una domenica a pranzo e ci siamo trovati abbastanza bene. Il servizio è cortese ed educato, le pietanze abbondanti. Abbiamo assaggiato una selezione di antipasti caldi davvero sfiziosi, soprattutto il pollo in pastella speziata (mi pare il chicken pakora) , i piatti a base di salse (legumi e pollo). Un po' meno la cucina pandori, perché a mio avviso troppo secca ma è un gusto. Il vino della casa tremendo, però è un dettaglio. Secondo me un po' care le birre ma capisco sia un problema di costi di importazione.

17/08/2024: A pleasant surprise in the center of Pisa. A place with style, discreet background music, unlike many other places in the area, it is possible to converse with your fellow diners without "intrusive" background music. Relaxed and relaxing atmosphere. Excellent dishes and in the right size. Prize-winning desserts. Courteous, professional and pleasant service. A gem to experiment with.

Gelateria Artigianale Rufus

13/08/2024: One of my favorite places in Pisa. It is located right in front of the beautiful square and the staff is very kind (which is not so obvious in Tuscany). I especially like their "frozen" kefir and rufella cream.
11/08/2024: I wanted to try the ice cream from this ice cream shop, attracted by the philosophy praised for the choice of raw materials and for the processing of the ice cream. The location of the shop is slightly off-centre from the pedestrian area, but still overlooks one of the most beautiful and greenest squares in Pisa. Outside there are also tables for eating. Having said all this, I went in with great expectations but in truth I was quite disappointed. The ice cream melted immediately and had a watery consistency and the taste was nothing special. However, I will absolutely try again to give it a second chance also because the ice cream shop has an excellent reputation and all this seems rather strange to me.
