Recommended by a local friend, and a great find! A truly authentic restaurant for Romans. Truly traditional first courses, without the "carbocreme" and other neologisms. The coda alla vaccinara sauce is fantastic, the cacio e pepe is mouth-watering, and the house wine is so heavy you can't finish it! One important note, however: don't get the fixed-price menu, as it doesn't include some items and the portions are small. Amaro is offered at the counter, and the owners and staff are incredibly friendly!

One dinner was enough to make it my favorite osteria in Rome...the informal and authentic atmosphere of the osterias of old, the typical dishes of Roman cuisine. One of the best carbonaras I've ever eaten...may the Lord preserve places like this for a long time to come.

Excellent restaurant in Trastevere.

Expectations were far too high based on the reviews of this establishment. Five tables were occupied, and the wait for the food was exorbitant. There were two adults and a 7-year-old child. We ordered a mixed cheese board, cacio pepe pasta, and amatriciana pasta (there are three sizes; we ordered the medium). The cheese board left me somewhat disappointed. Italy is the birthplace of great cheesemakers, and our expectations were higher than what we actually tasted. The pastas were tasty, although the cacio pepe had too much pepper, which overpowered the other flavors. But the amatriciana was exquisite (a 10 out of 10). What I still don't understand is why they charge €2.50 for a liter of tap water. I'd be happy to pay €5 for bottled water, but for tap water? I just don't get it. And I should add that as soon as we sat down, they put a paper bag of bread in front of us. Another waiter brought another bag with more bread, and when I told the waitress that one bag was more than enough, she wasn't very friendly. And you can see how much they charged for just three slices of bread. It caught my attention that they didn't have any pizzas.

What a great place! A truly stunning atmosphere, the owners are incredibly patient and courteous, and the food is fantastic! My heartfelt compliments!

My second time after 8 years. Still as impressive, the food is delicious and extraordinary catered only for the locals.

Typical atmosphere of Roman trattorias

Atmosfera genuinamente romana (anzi trasteverina), camerieri simpatici e disponibili (non trovavano la mia prenotazione ma ci hanno fatto accomodare subito) e, soprattutto, cucina ottima e abbondante, dove quantità fa rima con qualità. Torneremo di sicuro.

Tavolata di 14 persone e abbiamo preso il menu a 40€ che è abbondante e variegato. Questa soluzione permette mangiare di tutto un po’ sia antipasto che che primi che secondi. Cibo buono, forse un po’ meglio i secondi e l’antipasto, primo comunque buoni, ma a Roma ne abbiamo mangiato anche di meglio. Dovete avere pazienza per i tempi che non sono rapidi, noi non avevamo fretta. Totale 42€ a testa prendendo un po’ più di vino rispetto il menù. Da un milanese milanista
