Illumined Bar In Milano

Beautiful place, kind and helpful people. Frank the owner is fantastic. The gay elephant at the bar is fun and always smiling.

I can say it's the best bar in Milan. Frank, Pasquale, and Manuel are ADORABLE! I recommend it for fun and more :) Great atmosphere, fun guaranteed.

My favorite place in Milan, but you have to come on a good shift because it may not always be like that... Only Pasquale is N⁰1 behind the bar, other bartenders were either unwilling, rude or poured the wrong ratio of alcohol in the drink!

I've been going to Illuminated for years, ever since I moved to Milan. I like it there, and it's a great place to hang out with friends. I know Illuminated exists! The place is always clean. I like the staff (maybe just one). Leonardo and Max are very friendly. Frank (I mention him because I saw a lot of negative reviews) might seem rude and haughty at first glance, but I always thought he was a real puppy underneath, and I still do. Appearances can be deceiving, in my opinion, especially for those who may seem "brusque" from the outside. Those like that are the nicest. It's nice to have a place of our own, where we can go when we feel lonely, even if it's just for a chat. Places like this should be protected, because despite the fact that people don't like it, Illuminated is the epitome of gay cruising in Italy, so there should be a sense of belonging to the place among the entire LGBT community. Otherwise, the price is fair, including a drink. I personally no longer have access to the email I used to register on Arco, so I can't get the free drink on days when the One Pass app is required, but that's a personal issue that I'll fix sooner or later. If I really had to nitpick, I'd simply ask for a little warmer downstairs because sometimes I get cold in the winter. Maybe set the temperature downstairs to the same as the fire room (even if you're dressed down, it would still be fine, I think). Enjoy. See you soon. Mirko D.
