I always used to go there every time I went to Naples with my mom and a group of friends. The hazelnut coffee was delicious, and you can also buy the moka version with hazelnut and chocolate flavors or the traditional one. I've bought it several times, even as a little gift; it's very welcome. The place is clean and welcoming, just like the people of Naples. Worth a try. 👍

An absolutely delightful Italian breakfast - fresh pastries, quality coffee and swift service.
A bittersweet experience. We tried the famous hazelnut coffee, and it was indeed good, creamy, and flavorful. Unfortunately, everything else left much to be desired: the service was inattentive, and worse, when it came to paying the bill, they didn't give me the option to pay with a debit card; they only accepted cash. The prices were decidedly excessive for the overall offering. It's a shame, because the product is worth it, but the hospitality and transparency are less so.

Great service, the food was good but didn’t live up to the service. We got two pizzas, the crust was very thin and soggy from the toppings which were delicious however. The pastries were excellent as was the espresso.

Authentic coffee and specialty coffee in a famous spot that locals go. Please take the time and ask the menue and questions about the different options of coffee. Very busy street in a beautiful piazza.

We stopped for breakfast at this centrally located café before leaving. The outdoor seating is very pleasant, especially on sunny days.
From breakfast onwards, the café offers a wide variety of sweet and savory treats, all very inviting.
We tried a gigantic cream-filled zeppola: perfectly fried and with a truly generous amount of cream. We also sampled a typical Neapolitan sfogliatella made from shortcrust pastry, with the classic ricotta filling. I was particularly impressed with this one, as the flavor was different from others I've tried in the past: I really appreciated the creaminess and intense flavor. I also appreciated the lack of candied fruit.
The cappuccino was also very good. A great stop for a tasty breakfast before leaving.

The creamy coffee was excellent, the sfogliatella frolla was good, but the service was disappointing. The only real downside was the station-bar restroom. Terrible.

If you're in Naples and want an authentic experience, Il Vero Bar del Professore is a must-see.
A historic establishment in the heart of the city, welcoming and steeped in tradition, where you can truly feel the Neapolitan spirit. The staff is friendly, smiling, and always available: they make you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
But the real star is undoubtedly the legendary "Caffè del Professore." A simply extraordinary coffee: creamy, intense, fragrant, with that special note that makes it unique and unmistakable. It's much more than just an espresso; it's a taste experience that embodies the true tradition of Neapolitan coffee.
A place that combines quality, history, and passion. Highly recommended for those who love good coffee and want to savor an authentic piece of Naples. I'll definitely be back!

€10 for two coffees and a pastry. Quick service, but the waiter rushed us to pay and clear the table before we'd even left. The coffees and pastry were good.

I understand many things...I understand that tourists can be a bit annoying sometimes...but the staff at this bar, although beautiful...ancient...historic...and with unique features...should be taught how to be polite and courteous...
It's a shame...because the hazelnut coffee and sfogliatelle are the epitome of deliciousness.
