IL Vecchio Borgo In Castel madama

Exceptional first courses; It's been decades since I ate such good amatriciana with homemade tonnarelli. Even the pistachio tiramisu will be difficult to forget. Well made starters and main courses.... All for 22 euros per person.

We discovered this delightful restaurant under the main square thanks to Google and we had a wonderful time, from the house red wine (bbbuono) to the first and second courses, as well as the fragrant mixed starter. Excellent cuisine, Mari Pia served us splendidly always with a smile. Last but not least, homemade sweets and carnival donuts offered by them. See you soon for the pizzas!

Very simple but welcoming place, excellent cuisine. It is getting better and better in quality and courtesy.

We go there often, but what we regret is that the menu from July to now is always the same and they often don't have everything that is written on it, the service to come and take the order is slow, the bathroom is I go with my mother who is in a wheelchair, I can't turn around to let her in, in my opinion they should update the menu and also do something off the menu, have more choice of desserts, the prices are good. I was sorry to say these things but naturally one says what they feel, I hope that something changes, then there is a nice outside it's true it's a big expense, but if I were them I would close it with a veranda all around or with glass or with plexiglass to also take advantage of the winter outside.

A nice discovery, plentiful and very good food. Shame about the slow service... I think they should increase the staff. Honest prices... definitely worth coming back!
