Il Toscano In Sulzano

We went there on the last evening of our vacation and were more than happy about it: very idyllic, away from tourism, located in the mountains.. one of the peaceful dogs led us the last few meters to the restaurant (; very friendly and courteous service, mega romantic ambience on the terrace, Food different than expected, almost extraordinary, but delicious. If you take the sometimes narrow pass road (but from which you have a wonderful panorama over the lake in the evening) and get there, you will definitely be rewarded with a restaurant that (for us) represents true Italy and holiday flair matters!!

The place has been there for a while... but the management is new. Three guys, you can see that they know the raw materials which are of good quality, fresh focaccia, typical Tuscan appetizer, good Florentine but the cooking could be improved as it was too much. Excellent house wine. The service excellent. The contour is poor. We are sure that you are adjusting your aim and have the capabilities. The medium-high prices are not justified especially by the environment. There is a lot to do for the location, it is not up to the standard of the food served, it needs to be repainted as soon as possible, the place needs to be heated before the customers come, the table linens need to be forgotten, we understand that you have just started but not it's a justification. Young and fit people with little money can do miracles with a coat of paint and a varnish on the furniture. High potential but to be developed. You will do it, we're sure of it. Dogs are allowed. Well done!

Very hospitable environment, note of merit for the kindness of the girl who served the dishes, who was always attentive to our every request. Slice cooked divinely, very tasty, as were the potatoes served as a side dish. Recommended house wine and very welcome tasting of oil. Price slightly high in my opinion, however repaid by the quality of everything and the spectacular view. I will gladly return!

I gave 4 stars because it is inconvenient to reach (in my opinion). For everything else it's perfect 👍

Typical trattoria environment, immersed in the greenery of the valleys overlooking Lake Iseo, menu planned for the wild boar festival, good, portions a little sacrificed, I would have expected a little more abundance for a trattoria, but overall the food was good.

In the hills above Sulzano d'Iseo there is the Il Toscano restaurant. But Il Toscano is not just a Trattoria, it is a project. A group of young and enthusiastic professionals who, after their meeting in the best and renowned restaurants in London, find themselves on Lake Iseo to start their adventure and manage the restaurant with attention and extreme care of the raw materials and obviously of the customers. This is a special place to see, feel and taste.

Very good food (special mention for the sliced ​​beef and vegetables from the garden). The place was completely empty, apparently a little sad but warmed by the warmth of the staff.

La qualità è buona. I prezzi leggermente alti. Il problema sono le dosi: minime. Tartar a 12 euro minuscola anche se molto buona, i primi hanno porzioni da novelle cousine, peccato che siamo in una trattoria! Evitate i dolci: 7€ per una fetta minuscola di torta. Davvero imbarazzanti. Mi chiedo come si faccia a portare in tavola una fetta simile senza rendersi conto che è una presa in giro. Vino della casa buono, olio di assaggio all’inizio della cena squisito. Peccato perché ci vorrebbe davvero poco per essere il top

Ieri sera ho scoperto un posto in localita' Nistisino (sopra Sulzano) che mi ha sorpreso! Difficilmente sul lago incontri posti dove mangiare della buona carne quindi ero un po' prevenuto. Subito smentito dall'ambiente (rustico e accogliente), da un fuoco acceso nella corte esterna pronto per servire fiorentine, tomahawk e tagliate di prima scelta, dall'accoglienza di un titolare (William) gentile , accogliente e preparato. Abbiamo condiviso come antipasti della pappa al pomodoro e stracciatella (voto 8) della tartare di fassona (voto8) per poi gustare un carpaccio di vitello con salsa tonnata (voto 9) e la tomahakw (voto 10) e relativi contorni (voto 8). Il tutto annaffiato con un ottimo barbera della casa (voto 9). Rapporto qualita' / prezzo (voto 9) La cosa che ti sorprende e' poi l'attenzione del titolare che spesso passa a condividere e ascoltare i pareri sui piatti preparati pronto ad ascoltare consigli e pareri con attenzione e passione ! Dimenticavo, mentre percorrete la strada che vi porta al Toscano (all'andata o al ritorno) fermatevi un paio di minuti a vedere e a fotografare il lago d'iseo ....da cartolina !!! Sicuramente ci tornero' ! Complimenti a tutto lo staff del Toscano !
