I'll just say that staying here and having dinner was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I finally tried some anduja and I loved it. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff is friendly; I hope even the younger ones gain a lot of experience and become fantastic waiters. Good luck to them. Otherwise, everything was fantastic. Anyone who leaves negative reviews about this place is truly not a local, and I hope it continues to exist so we can return in the future. Thank you so much for your patience and kindness.

A true gem in the heart of Monte Poro, which I've compared to one of the embassies on Roman soil. It's an ideal location for those like us seeking peace and quiet. Gennaro and his family are masterfully managed, and I commend them for the excellent cuisine, impeccable cleanliness, and attention to detail. It was supposed to be a week's stay, but we ended up staying a month. Best regards, Alba and Alessandro, aka Il Roma

We stayed in a charming wooden house for a week in August. The atmosphere was wonderful, well-maintained, and they cleaned it every day. Highly recommended. The large garden features sun loungers, hammocks, and a pool, all immersed in Calabria's pristine nature and absolute tranquility. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety of sweet and savory options. Dinners were excellent, all locally sourced, and excellent value. Mr. Gennaro was kind and attentive to our every need, and his wife is an excellent cook. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to truly experience the authentic Calabria, close to the most beautiful beaches of the Costa degli Dei, without the chaos of the renowned seaside towns.

I stayed at the property. Unfortunately, I got sick during my stay, but the staff pampered me like never before. The cleaning lady was extraordinary, and I highly recommend the property. Thank you for everything.

Ristorante Tropea Vecchia

25/07/2026: The restaurant is centrally located in a charming little square. The seafood dinner was exceptional. Everything was so fresh. The appetizers were plentiful, and the seafood carbonara was excellent. The desserts were special: cannoli and tiramisu (the latter homemade by the owner). Well done!!! We'll be back.
23/07/2026: We found ourselves in this very quaint little restaurant, and from the moment we were greeted, we knew it was the right place. The food is superb, made with quality, local products. The appetizer platter embodies the flavors of Calabria, but, at the recommendation of Carmine, the waiter, we also tried the shrimp with pecorino cheese, honey, and Tropea onions...simply sublime! We loved it so much we returned three nights in a row!!! The spaghetti with garlic, oil, chili pepper, and shrimp tartare also deserves special mention. Oh, and I almost forgot, the tiramisu by Roberto, the owner: lots of cream and very little biscuit...in short, the perfect tiramisu!! We felt right at home, thanks to Gaia and Roberto and all the staff who welcomed us and made us feel right at home! If you're passing through Tropea, definitely try their cuisine; you'll be amazed.
