We went for dinner on Thursday at the recommendation of friends, unaware of the existence of this little restaurant in Lastra a Signa because it's located on a slightly secluded street, not visible from the main road. I must say it was a wonderful discovery. We were greeted by a very kind waiter who looked after us attentively and without being intrusive throughout the dinner.
The fish is absolutely fresh, cooked or raw, presented perfectly... the balance of tastes and flavors is truly perfect... generous portions and a very good wine list with excellent value.
It was a very pleasant surprise for us! We will definitely be back and I highly recommend trying it out! Compliments to the Chef and the Waiter.

I'm giving three stars only for the quantity of the first courses, but many other things need improvement. The place is "cold": I and all the other diners left after suffering from the bitter cold (in November). The service took about two hours... we came in at 12:30 and finished at 2:00 for one first course each (for 4) and two second courses. The first courses were good, even in quantity, but the rest was subpar. The appetizers and second courses were truly miserable. I'd never seen "only one octopus tentacle" in an appetizer. Price... let's say a little expensive, but almost normal.

The sashimi platter was so fresh and delicious that I returned two days in a row. Instead of soy sauce, I ate it with olive oil, salt, and a little lemon. At first, I felt it wasn't salty enough, but perhaps because the seafood was so fresh, the subtle seasoning really brought out the flavor of the ingredients, making it even more delicious. ☺️
They also had a variety of other seafood dishes, all of which were delicious. Their light yet savory flavors are sure to please Japanese palates. 🐟
The risotto was also delicious, so be sure to give it a try! (Minimum 2 servings)

I had dinner at this restaurant with my husband, and overall, the experience was good, but with a few downsides.
We ordered a truly tasty seafood carbonara, potato gnocchi with scampi cream, and a well-made fried fish dish that was dry and not greasy. The tuna tartare was also fresh and delicious.
Unfortunately, the wait was incredibly long: we arrived at 7:30 pm, with the restaurant almost empty (only one other table occupied), but we had to wait about 30 minutes for our first courses. Dessert, however, never arrived on time: after a long wait, we gave up, but the waiter—very kind and professional—brought it to us anyway. We didn't eat it, and he didn't charge us for it. A nice gesture, although the slow service somewhat ruined the overall experience.
We didn't dare order coffee, for fear of having to wait until breakfast the next day 😅.
In short: excellent food, friendly staff, but wait times definitely need to be reconsidered.
Good value. With quicker service, this place would be highly recommended.

A restaurant where you don't expect to eat fish, and excellent fish at that.
The place isn't very big, so reservations are recommended, especially on weekends.
I had a sampling of appetizers for two: spaghetti allo scoglio (spaghetti with seafood) and a fried fish dish. It was all accompanied by an excellent Sauvignon Blanc. To finish, a truly delicious mango cheesecake.
I enjoyed everything, and I also appreciated Lapo's service, always attentive and extremely kind.
Another positive note was the generous portions; I left feeling very full.
If I really had to find a flaw, it would probably be the wait time between dishes, considering that it was a weekday, there weren't many customers. But overall, it was a positive experience, and I'll definitely be back.
