Excellent lunch. I recommend the pasta with anchovy butter, a taste of the anchovy meatballs, and, if you're up for it, the salami with sauce and mashed potatoes.
Price is reasonable (about €45 per person, including wine). The place may be a little cramped in the winter months.

Small but very welcoming and pleasant place, I was immediately greeted warmly by the staff. The service was good and prompt, and they were also very knowledgeable about the wine selection. As for the food, I was very satisfied, and the desserts were also very good. I recommend everyone to go there, and I will definitely be back.

While passing through Ferrara, we stopped at this roadside restaurant. It has a rustic yet elegant look. The service was very friendly and made excellent recommendations. We had delicious pumpkin tortelloni with ragù.

Nice little, welcoming restaurant in the medieval part of the historic centre of town. Pleasant ambiance, mainly indoor dining, just a couple of tables in a small dehors, limited menu focused on few items, ensuring quality and freshness, with a decent wine list. Service was slow paced and friendly, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. We had a mix of appetisers, first and second courses, all fish based, and desserts, all of which we shared - all delicious. With a bottle of wine, a very good Catarratto from Marsala (I thought that grape was specific only of the Etna area, you never stop learning ...), the bill for the three of us was €125. Being in my neighbourhood, Il Sorpasso stays in my list of favourite local places.
