10/07/2025: A culinary masterpiece in Prato: Even 6 stars wouldn't be enough!
What an evening! What we experienced at this restaurant in Prato was simply fantastic and deserves far more than just five stars. It was a feast for the senses, from the warm welcome to the last, unforgettable bite.
As soon as we entered, we were greeted personally by the chef, which immediately gave the evening a very personal touch. The service was excellent, attentive, and always unobtrusive throughout the evening. Another highlight was the personalized advice from the chef herself on the dishes on the daily menu – an appreciation rarely experienced and which gave us deep insights into the philosophy and passion behind the creations.
A wine journey of the highest order
The wine recommendation was simply amazing! I've never tasted a better Vermentino – this white wine was a revelation and paired perfectly with our appetizers. The recommendation for the main course, a local Feronio, was so fitting that we spontaneously decided to change our itinerary to visit the wine-growing region. The fact that the chef even put us in touch with the winemaker demonstrates the exceptional hospitality and desire to offer guests a completely perfect experience.
Culinary delights you'll never forget
The dishes themselves were of a quality rarely found. For our starter, we chose the "Nel blu dipinto di blu" – a variation of three fishes that, eaten in the recommended order, were an absolute delight. The subtle nuances and freshness of the ingredients were simply impressive. The pickled anchovies with cucumber and celery were also a delight, sending the taste buds on a wonderful journey.
The primi piatti continued this delight: the stuffed shrimp ravioli with pesto Genovese and zucchini blossoms were a dream. Perfectly balanced in size and filling, they were the best homemade ravioli I've ever eaten – a true homage to Italian culinary art. The spaghetti with butter and anchovies was also a highlight. Perfectly cooked "al dente," the anchovy sauce melted into a homogenous culinary delight that melted in the mouth.
But the highlight was the secondi piatti: a duck breast with glazed carrots and three sauces. The duck breast was crispy and cooked to perfection, while the three sauces formed a creamy blend of individual components, the likes of which I've never experienced before. Each component was a small work of art in its own right, and together they created a harmony that was simply captivating.
All in all, it was an incredibly fine, delicious, and wonderful evening. The entire team, with passion and dedication, created an experience that went far beyond an ordinary restaurant visit. Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience and the wonderful conversations! We will never forget this evening in Prato and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.
