Happened upon this wonderful restaurant as we were walking in Rome. Wow the food was amazing, my tuna salad was full of lovely rocket salad, buffalo mozzarella and flavour in a massive tin bowl. Pasta dishes were great too.
Didn't get a chance to taste their pizza as they serve on dinner menu from 7pm till 11pm.

A typical Roman restaurant from the '90s (in terms of decor), well-maintained and updated in terms of menu and dishes.
I've gotten into the habit of going there often for lunch on weekends with my partner, and I bring friends from out of Rome who come to visit.
What can I say? Everything is always excellent.
They also offer delicious reinterpretations of gricia and carbonara, which are surprisingly spot-on, considering that these classics are usually left untouched.
But they do it, and they do it well!!
A truly world-class amatriciana, perhaps the best I've ever had at a restaurant.
Prices are definitely affordable, and the staff is truly friendly and welcoming.

We found this restaurant by chance but were very pleased. The service was average, and the food was good and plentiful. We had two excellent bruschettas, chicory, and four different pasta dishes (carbonara, amatriciana, cacio e pepe, gricia), all well-prepared. The price was reasonable. The only downside was the big screen showing a game (I personally don't like TVs in restaurants).

Very welcoming place. We went with two young men who had excellent wood-fired pizza, while my wife and I had carbonara with truffle and straccetti with artichokes. The dishes are generous. The staff is welcoming. We were able to chat and hear each other thanks to the lack of crowding. Excellent price. We'll be happy to return, and I highly recommend it.

The go-to place in Rome for Roman first courses, or—if you're feeling nostalgic for the '90s—penne alla vodka.
The bruschetta and wine selection are also excellent.

Amazing amazing food, friendly, helpful staff and perfect local atmosphere. We loved every bite at Al Simeto! Whatever you choose you’ll love, but you must top it off with the tiramisu :)

A guarantee for Roman cuisine. The artichoke gricia is my favorite, also good with asparagus and, when they're not in season, with porcini mushrooms. Fair prices and super generous portions! The Roman-style pizza is excellent, especially the amatriciana. I highly recommend it, also for the courtesy and professionalism of the staff.
