One of the best ice creams in Palermo, excellent desserts and cakes (their tiramisu is exceptional) and this Christmas I also tried their artisanal panettone... among the best I've ever tasted.

There was a strange smell inside the ice cream shop when we went. I don't know if it has always been there or it just happened that day. But the ice cream is delicious! The ice cream brioche is also good.

Very disappointed with the black cherry ice cream, too much ice and too soft vanilla... my cone was falling left and right... the cream was good. The girls are very kind but not very expert.... unique fruit flavours, banana, coconut and strawberry. 👎

Il Signor di Carbognano era un nobile del Seicento amante dei sorbetti della tradizione siciliana, citato anche da Leonardo Sciascia nella sua attivita' di giornalista. Ci siamo documentati quando abbiamo visto quest'insegna che ci affascinava in pieno centro a Palermo. Il gelato è di ottima qualita', con gusti variegati e anche "estrosi", la brioche pure, i prezzi sono adeguati a livello ...milanese. Un pallino in meno perche' non ci piace entrare in un locale (in quel momento deserto) dove la ragazza dietro il banco nemmeno alza gli occhi che sono concentrati sullo schermo del telefonino.

24/02/2025: Having breakfast there every day, a new choice every day, always enthusiastic and honestly the low price is also worth highlighting. The older man behind the counter was friendly and said goodbye to us with the words "see you tomorrow", so we also received recommendations. We already miss the experience.
23/02/2025: Excellent pastry shop, very small but with an interesting confectionery offer. The setteveli was good but the cassata was exquisite. The environment is a bit penalized by the limited number of seats but we saw that a lot of people took the desserts to take away, so I would say that there is room for everyone in the end. The fruit with marzipan was a little too sweet for my taste so much so that I couldn't taste the almond. The coffee ok.

25/03/2025: Restaurant that turned out to be a surprise, I would never have believed I would eat so well in a small village like Bolognetta, invited to eat here for a graduation (I didn't choose the menu). In my opinion, the breadsticks were extra, personally I would appreciate them more in a trattoria and maybe made by a bakery, the only criticism in this regard. For the rest I ate really well, from appetizers to main courses, the paccheri were the bomb but also the fish caponata. In the rolls I expected raisins, a little parmesan and pine nuts or any other dried fruit that in my city in Catania you can sometimes find but this tradition should be more Palermitan, in any case very good all the same.
18/03/2025: I was here for a graduation lunch, with fish-based courses. I had a great time and the food was really good. I recommend the risotto with scampi cream and the swordfish rolls. The photo shows only one of the two first courses eaten, paccheri chef.
