To travelers: almost on the Via degli Dei route, with a short detour. Rooms are so-so. Dinner prices are a bit murky; be careful with drinks and side dishes. Breakfast is decidedly poor.

I needed a stop on the journey from Verona to Piombino. I found this campsite near the Direttissima Bologna Firenze exit Barberino di Mugello.
I'm coming here for the second time and I recommend it to everyone for the two apartments, the silence and the magnificent Tuscan cuisine.

We didn't stay but only had dinner, finding by chance after exiting the highway this gem of times gone by...
The rating also takes into account, therefore, that the place represents a place of the past, with the menu said by word of mouth, with traditional home-made dishes, a bit vintage but rustic, true and genuine.
Good dinner, excellent zuppa inglese, honest bill...we'll definitely see you again!

sosta durante la via degli dei, sembra di andare indietro nel tempo, tutto è anni 70, anche le persone dietro il bancone sembrano di altri tempi, un bar che fa anche la schiacciata con salumi soprattutto la finocchiona, ambiente molto spartano, tavoli esterni, prezzi regolari.

Reading other reviews I would have avoided it, but I couldn't do otherwise, and I'm happy. Rustic country environment, warm and familiar with customers, home-made and free-range food (pappardelle with duck and grilled loin like all the grilled meat), raw wine that immediately took me back to my grandfather's cellar. For those who complain about the paper tablecloth, which is amaranth in colour, soft placed on a fabric tablecloth and not the shiny pub ones, for those who have seen cobwebs everywhere (I didn't and I looked on purpose) for those who now eat GOURMET (frozen) at home and for all the masterscief judges I remember that in Piazza Duomo in Milan they are waiting for you with open arms.

We took drugs for lunch before going up to the Futa pass. We only ate a first course, very dry tagliatelle with meat sauce. Very dated place and spartan service. Without too many pretensions we are satisfied.

Very spartan rooms and definitely in need of updating, the bathroom with the shower in the center that wets everything is uncomfortable. The alternative provided by the campsite next door should be evaluated which, according to the stories of other travellers, should be better. However, if you are traveling along the Via degli Dei it is a good base with the possibility of dinner at the restaurant (good tortelli and Florentine steak at a good price). Nice managers.
