Il Sambuco -Pane Condito- In Savoca

Spent a nice evening with friends, Pani cunzato delicious, well seasoned and presented beautifully. Definitely worth trying

We booked a few hours in advance, simple and nice place in a characteristic location. The food is excellent and there is a wide choice of ingredients for the cunzatu bread. Salvo and his guys are really nice, kind and well-prepared, you can see that they put love and passion into their work, adding a good house wine will make your evening at Il Sambuco super pleasant.

First time in this historic venue and honestly I expected more. The location is nice, a long spacious terrace but with the negative thing that there is only one bathroom, for both women and men. The bread is very crunchy, the peculiarity lies in composing it to your liking but be careful that the price goes up a lot. The condiments are around €3 and they don't make it very full so all things considered the prices of the condiments are a bit exaggerated. The staff made many mistakes. The first to take orders is a little too nervous, he starts from the assumption that people know how it works but in my opinion he has to ask if a person has already been there and explain how it works and the quantities that are served... the coke was missing zero, and nowadays given the popularity of the drink it is a huge mistake, especially in mid-August when we know there is more turnout. They had problems with the fryer and we waited more than 3 quarters of an hour for tasteless and badly cooked chips. Then after 1 hour and something the bread arrived. In conclusion I did not find all this particularity. Poorly seasoned bread, the pistachio is not fully felt, many errors.

I've had to go there for a long time. I finally succeeded. I remain positively surprised. Well organized considering the amount of people who go there. Unfortunately, the quality/price ratio is not very in line... I would reduce the price a few times... it is absolutely still a place to recommend... I will return with pleasure....!!!

Excellent cunzato bread, the best in Savoca! The only flaw is that some unsolicited condiments were added during preparation which we had specified to remove. For the rest everything was excellent, very friendly staff, super recommended!

What can I say, fantastic experience! if you want traditional food in step with the times where artisanal products from local producers are used that blend perfectly with the choices made available on the menu, you are definitely in the right place. If you want to overdo it, you can compose the bread with the available products as you prefer. Perfect location not far from the historic center. I will definitely return

A pleasant discovery during a visit to Savoca. Delicious food and excellent quality products. Attentive service and nice atmosphere too. The only slightly negative note would be the price. We are still talking about seasoned bread.

Il sambuco, a mio parere, è il perfetto connubio tra tradizione e sguardo al futuro, prodotti di altissima qualità e nuove proposte che guardano al rinnovamento senza tralasciare i sapori del passato. Locale nuovo e servizio attento e gentile. Il pane è una bomba come la scelta dei salumi, nulla a che fare con alcuni pani cunsati che usano prodotti da discount, la qualità qui c'è e ai sente sul serio. Consigliatissimo visto anche la splendida location in cui si trova a savoca.

Tranquillità, ambiente amichevole e prodotti siciliani di grande qualità. Il pane condito stupisce per varietà e bontà. Consigliatissimo!!!
