IL Salumaio In Roma

My wife and I stopped in at this place 15 minutes before they closed and each ordered a sandwich. She ordered an Italiano and I ordered a Ghiottone and both were very good. I finished mine but she said it was too big to finish hers so she took the remaining part back to our hotel. We also each had a peroni and the place was closing before we finished our drink so they poured it into a glass and we took our beer home and I drank it on the walk back to the hotel, they mentioned that was fine to do. I recommend this place for a good sandwich.

We had some very good sandwiches with quality ingredients and friendly service. I asked to remove an ingredient and the guy gave me a €1 discount, something I've never experienced before. A very welcome stop near Piazza di Spagna. Fair prices. I recommend it.

Highly recommended focaccias, whether you eat in or take away. The bread was freshly baked and warm, very crispy, and the ingredients were high quality and filling. We ordered the Italian one and another with truffle honey.

Delicious sandwiches will go there again

The food was good quality, and it's nice not to be eating pasta all the time while you're in Italy. I ordered a sandwich, and it was reasonably priced, although I had to wait a bit because it was busy. My friends also liked the food there. A big plus was that the bathroom was clean, and the staff was friendly.
