Everything was perfect, except for breakfast, which I would rate as "just adequate". The location was magnificent and the reception staff were very friendly.

The room is very large, but the air conditioning is limited, and the TV is very old with DTT 🤦🏻🤦🏻

Amazing historic building and wonderful views from our room. Great spot on the Via Francigena. Quality bed linen but overall, dated and bathroom shabby. Breakfast was a bit chaotic with only one person on duty trying to make coffee for everyone, items running out and juice highly diluted. Has great potential.

As others mentioned it is an older hotel but the prices are fair and the place is spotless. Breakfast was generous and the staff are fantastic. Very bike friendly as they have a place to store your bikes. Steps to restaurants, bars, shopping. Grazie!

03/10/2025: Fantastic pizza! Worth a visit. I went back yesterday after six years. The pizza is still delicious. We also tried the carbonara, which was amazing. The house white wine was perfect. Very friendly service. When in Volterra, be sure to stop by for a bite to eat :)
03/09/2025: From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but once inside, it more than makes up for it. The pizza was very tasty, but the seafood spaghetti was worth a solid 10 stars. "Grandma" is a very good and flavorful cook. So, I'll go there again to try out the rest. I'm already looking forward to it.

01/10/2025: While staying at the Grand Continental Hotel we had one nice evening without rain and came here to enjoy cocktails before moving on to dinner elsewhere. The views here are great, as we sat in a window overlooking the sea. They have a very nice, inexpensive cocktail menu as well as food offerings. After we sat and when we placed our order the server brought us a nice assortment of chips, olives, and cookies. Everything was great, including the service. Definitely would suggest giving them a try!
07/09/2025: I've already reviewed this place. I think it's a great place for dinner, but also for a cocktail, a snack, and delicious ice cream. Music in a spacious outdoor setting. The staff is very friendly and professional.
