I have never eaten such good gricia cooked to perfection with a sublime cream, the same goes for my wife's carbonara. In this place you take a dive into the past, note the still working refrigerator from the fifties/sixties. I had a good time and will definitely go back.

An old-time tavern renowned for its quails.
Very peppery food, but respectful of Roman tradition.

One of the few Roman trattorias that maintains a strong character of authenticity. Homemade cuisine, honest prices, very simple and friendly service. The quails are obviously the dish to try but the first courses are also excellent. The location is in the historic village of Quarticciolo, certainly a place away from any trivially tourist itinerary. We will definitely be back.

Local located in the Quarticciolo area, a Roman village near the Alessandrino district.
The rustic atmosphere makes you feel at home and the staff was very friendly.
I ordered a cacio e pepe while my boyfriend got a second. Both very good but the thing I appreciated most was the freshly made tiramisu (literally)
Prices in line, we had a very good time

Informal but familiar context that exudes history and tradition. The eggs and quails are excellent. Even the toasted bread is remarkable!!! The host is truly top!!!

I've wanted to try this historic address for years.
Good food, especially the pasta.
I did not appreciate the manager's lack of transparency when requesting the bill: the total was said verbally without presenting the printed detail, with the result that the requested price was disproportionate to what was consumed and not in line with the restaurant itself.
It's a shame, with greater transparency towards the customer I would have gladly returned, despite the higher than expected cost.
« Sometimes » investing in correctness pays to retain a new customer.

Place located in the Quarticciolo area and easy to reach. We ate for lunch on a Thursday in March. We were alone in a place that shows its age but for us it is of no importance, we look at the substance. We started with anchovies and onions, bruschetta with anchovies and beans with pork rinds all very good and tasty dishes. Afterwards excellent rigatoni with pajata perhaps just a little too al dente then a stew with sauce really pleasant on the palate and a roll of aubergines not fried but only grilled for my partner who is they melted in your mouth. Excellent hot cherry cake to finish. Coffee, water and house red wine and a bill of 75 euros then increased to 70 by the owner. In conclusion, if you are looking for a place with no appearance and all substance this is the right place.
