We had a delicious meal and they were very considerate of our gluten allergies. One of the few places with gluten-free pasta. Fantastic!

We came here on a recommendation. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast. They even accepted orders for dishes not on the menu (though the price was a bit higher than expected). But it was delicious, home-cooked. During our week in Stresa, we visited many cafes and restaurants in the city and can say that this pizzeria is definitely worth a visit. Thank you for a wonderful evening! Happy business!

An elegant and welcoming restaurant, Il Portico offers spectacular views of the lake. I dined al fresco at sunset: the view makes every dish even more special. I tried tagliatelle with truffles and a local fish fillet: fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, and meticulously presented. The attentive staff made the evening enjoyable, explaining the recipes and sharing stories about local products.

I don't know what the gentlemen and ladies who gave low ratings expect. It's simply a good classic Italian restaurant with a varied menu (I would remove a few dishes), but above all, it's ideal for tourists. However, nothing is stopping an Italian from stopping to eat good fish and good meat. Normal portions, reasonable prices for STRESA, a renowned tourist destination. My wife is celiac and received adequate assistance and care. If it happens again, I'll stop by again.

Well, that was nothing. The service was fast and friendly. We didn't pay attention to the opening hours, but were invited in at 2:30 p.m., which meant closing time. My plate was taken away during the starter, even though I hadn't finished it yet. They apologized, but it can happen. When we finally got the pizza, the lights were turned off, the vacuuming was on, and the entire area was being cleaned. It was very uncomfortable overall, and when we were asked for dessert, we politely declined because we felt rushed. The pizza was delicious, but not typically Italian.
