We loved it! Rainy Wednesday night in winter and this was perfect. Lovely service wine without ridiculous markups and the food was authentic. Tuscan pate, homemade tortellini and a delicious desert. Very happy with our choice. I don’t recognize the negative reviews here at all.

We had a delicious lunch here in January. We ordered a generously topped seafood pizza and the three-course set menu. Everything was freshly prepared, the service was very attentive, and we also thoroughly enjoyed the house red wine. The portions were very generous, and we highly recommend this restaurant and encourage everyone to try it for themselves.

A simple restaurant very close to the center of Volterra; a menu featuring traditional dishes, a small number of tables, and a very friendly staff who make you feel right at home. Generous portions, excellent house wine, and quick and efficient service.

We had a great time at Il Poggio and came back after our first visit for more. The atmosphere and service were brilliant and fun, and the food delicious! We will always come back when we're in Volterra.

I came back for the second time and I confirm the choice good pizzas first courses and second courses with a lot of choice I recommend the pici cacio e pepe and the tagliatelle with wild boar

04/04/2025: Nos recomendaron este restaurante durante nuestra estancia en Pisa, y fue un acierto, ya que repetimos dos veces. La trattoria era una antigua iglesia de ahí que conserva una columna en su interior. Su decoración no pierde la esencia de los restaurantes italianos.El sitio es un poco pequeño, pero luego tiene bastantes mesas. El dueño , al igual que camareros muy amables y atentos en todo momento. La presentación de los platos correcta, y muy buena relación calidad-precio. Lo recomiendo si estáis por la zona

Finalmente ho trovato una trattoria di nome e di fatto, dove si respira aria di familiarità senza tanti fronzoli, dove paghi la qualità e la quantità al giusto prezzo. Se vuoi mangiare e respirare l'aria toscana è il posto giusto con piatti della tradizione senza sbavature ed eccessi, il tutto condito dalla cordialità e simpatia dei proprietari. Tutto quello che abbiamo mangiato è stato apprezzato e le quantità hanno più che soddisfatto. Necessaria prenotazione in quanto il locale si riempie facilmente.

11/03/2026: Osteria di Culegna = Simona! If you're in Pisa, you can't miss eating here! The wonderful and lively Simona will welcome you and make you feel immediately at home. I discovered her thanks to a recommendation from Pisan friends. When I arrived, there was no room, and it seemed like there shouldn't be, but something told me "wait"... I waited, and it was worth it. As I was saying, Simona is super lively; her cuisine is authentic, sincere, and excellent... flavorful and just the right amount! You'll leave full and satisfied! I ate divinely, felt at home, and had a wonderful time... so much so that I went for lunch (appetizer, first course, second course, and dessert) and returned for dinner!!!
