Il Poggio In Volterra

It's a restaurant in the middle of an uphill street in Volterra. It is super cozy and the girls who served us were super friendly and smiling. The quality of the pizzas is very good and I emphasize that the tomato sauce was delicious and the dough was perfect. Of course... the desserts were what I liked the most, I would repeat them again and again.

We came across it by chance, we ate very well, the waitresses were too nice. Advised.

Pausa pranzo del 1 gennaio: veloce ed efficiente nonostante la comprensibile confusione della giornata. Primi ottimi, sono presenti anche dei piatti del giorno fuori menù. Prezzi nella media del centro storico di Volterra. Mezzo pallino in più per l’ottimo lavoro della giovane cameriera.

I chose this restaurant for lunch on 12/31, very kind already on the phone and excellent welcome, I communicated that I had a stroller so I had adequate accommodation. Very characteristic place, excellent service despite being full of customers. I ate a tasty carbonara, the pork fillet is worth it, I recommend it.

Locale sicuramente turistico nel cuore di Volterra. La proposta del menu’ e’ tradizionale toscana e poi c’è una bella selezione di pizze, anch’esse tradizionali. Le ragazze della sala sono molto carine e gentili. Peccato che la sala al piano di sopra è veramente molto rumorosa. Ho optato per una pizza ma ho fatto la scelta sbagliata. Intrigata dal “ coccio” ho ordinato quella. Doveva essere una base pizza cotta nel coccio con verdure e mozzarella. La parte del bordo della pizza era cotta. Peccato che le verdure sono state inserite completamente crude e scondite per cui in cottura hanno fatto molta acqua e la base della pizza che copriva il fondo risultava molliccia e poco cotta e le verdure sono rimaste crude. Bastava pre cuocere la base, dare una scottata alle verdure, per asciugarle un po’ e condirle anche prima per avere una pizza diversa e forse interessante. Peccato

Very nice waitresses. Spectacular food. We have eaten pizza that has a very good thin base, penneall'arrabbiatta, Gamberoni al brake with pecorini and tartufo and Gnocchetti al pestodi rucola e pistacchi. And all great. The house wine is also very good. The pleasant atmosphere.

Excellent Tuscan cuisine, friendly and welcoming staff, prices in line with the product offered. Advised!

It was me and my wife. Once inside we were greeted by a pleasant family atmosphere. The staff is friendly and efficient. We ate an excellent Florentine steak. Good value for money considering it is in the center of Volterra

Excellent place with traditional foods

We were a group of 9 people and the food was really tasty, and good size portion for the price. Nice place and staff. Recommended.
