I think the negative reviews are from the competition because we had a great time. Excellent pappardelle with chamois, penne with ragù ditto. Fettuccine with mushrooms a little bland but good. To finish, cantuccini with vin santo which I recommend.

For a quick lunch, the cover charge of 2.50 euros seems excessive to me, as it is a comfortable but rustic place.

We arrived late on Sunday lunchtime and we're offered only limited menu choices. Portions were slightly smaller than ideal. Lovely place for hillside strolling in the hills between Florence and Lucca

The pinone is the top of the Montalbano along the road that goes from Empoli to Carmignano, in this place there is a lot of woods, and it feels good when the temperatures are high to get a bit of fresh air, oh I say if the leaf doesn't move 'It's hot there too, plus there's a restaurant/pizzeria and bar with the name Pinone, with outdoor tables too, I think it's best to book for the restaurant.

16/01/2025: Breakfast- recommend it for Sureeee Food was so delicious Pancakes so yummy Omelette eggs were delicious as well Avocado was yummy yummy & Yummy Only thing is that coffee was cold and not pretty good Plus it is expensive to be honest
15/01/2025: Beautiful place, unfortunately I waited more than half an hour for an American. Good cocktail and also the aperitif. Rude and approximate service, shame.

19/10/2024: Bella cena Toscana, antipasti , primi e secondo con contorni veramente buoni, tutto molto gustoso , servizio rapido ed efficiente, unico neo..forse le sedie e i tavoli da rivedere sedie scomode e tavolo con la gamba a contrasto...ma la bontà del cibo vale la scomodità.
09/09/2024: Buoni i crostini coi fegatini, buono il galletto. Più perplessa su fricassea e zucchini menta e limone, troppo liquidi ambedue. Ma è questione di punti di vista
