I was inspired by the reviews and photos I found on TheFork. I don't know, it was all a mixed bag: the appetizer for two was nothing to write home about. I'm from Basilicata, and yes, they were perhaps typical, but not overly so. The first courses were good, but again, nothing exceptional. We had the black pork ragù and cacio e crusco. So, let's say the overall rating is satisfactory. The place is small but cute and quaint. The service is good, and the staff is friendly and helpful. All in all, it deserves 3 stars. Prices are average.

A small restaurant at the entrance to the Sassi. A very traditional menu, with a focus on meat dishes. Reasonable prices, and the friendly staff.

16/08/2025: A small but convenient beach bar. Inexpensive, with the option of making your own sandwich or having a satisfying meal cooked on-site. It's a shame there's no price information.

05/02/2026: Unfortunately, it seems to be closed at present, despite what Google says!
06/10/2025: We had a great dinner there with a friend who lives in Rotondella. She said it was the best and we totally agree. It is a family run restaurant and they were ready to give us some of the local delicacies. We had the antipasto platter, then specialty pie called L’Patizz, one stuffed with pork the other potato and green peppers. Then dried and then quickly fried red peppers, called peperoni cruschi - very tasty and crunchy. We also tried the local pasta Frizzole co middiche. The pasta is hand rolled and curled with an iron rod. The chef came out to talk to us and it was a very friendly place. A very enjoyable evening.
