Dinner in the heart of the historic center of Gallipoli, in one of the most fascinating settings of the city. Pettolino offered us a top-level gastronomic experience, thanks to well-executed dishes and fresh ingredients. There were two of us and we started with a fried octopus appetizer, crispy and tasty. Followed by two first courses: one based on the catch of the day - monkfish - and a risotto, both tasty and well-balanced in flavors. The quality of the cuisine is indisputable, but the experience was unfortunately penalized by the less than relaxing atmosphere. Next to our table was a large family, with several particularly noisy children who were screaming and banging objects, creating obvious discomfort. Despite the situation, the staff did not intervene, allowing the disturbance to partially compromise the environment. We accompanied the dinner only with water and, when it came to the bill, the total was 80 euros. Considering that we ordered only one appetizer and two first courses, the price seemed a bit high. Finally, a less positive note concerns the person at the cash register, whose courtesy was not up to the rest of the service. In summary: excellent cuisine and suggestive location, but a little more attention to the welcome and the environment could make the experience truly complete.

The Il Pettolino restaurant is located inside the Grumesi palace, occupying a part of it. The place is spacious and cozy with a pleasant atmosphere. They also have a terrace right in front of the beach with sea views. The restaurant has a wide and varied menu with starters, pizzas and main meat and fish dishes. Traditional cuisine made with good raw materials. The wine list is not excessively large, although they do have some good wines at quite reasonable prices. The staff that served us was pleasant and attentive, although somewhat slow in service. A good restaurant although with excessively high prices for what you are actually eating, even for a coastal area like Gallipoli.

Excellent food, excellent wine, a very friendly young waiter. The other waiters were unfriendly, we seemed to bother them for the short time of our meal despite our effort to speak Italian. In short, impeccable cuisine, deplorable service. Damage

Des mets savoureux et typiques. De bonnes bières. Un personnel aimable. Massimo nous a donné des explications intéressantes et nous a servis en étant à notre écoute. Il a fait l’effort de parler français. Nico aussi un serveur agréable. Un très bon moment dans un bel endroit.

Cercavamo posto per mangiare qualcosa e abbiamo scoperto questo ristorante. Da inizio non avevamo nessuna aspettativa, volevamo soltanto cenare ma è stata una scoperta meravigliosa. La location molto bella e attraente , camerieri accoglienti e alla altezza di loro mestiere. Abbiamo preso il antipasto di degustazione e due fritture di pesce e siamo rimasti molto contenti. Antipasto molto vario è gustoso e le fritture freschissimi. Il vino scelto per noi dal cameriere si accoppiava perfettamente con le portate ordinate. La serata è stata molto piacevole grazie alla professionalità delle camerieri e il lavoro perfetto di cucina. Alla fine della serata hanno offerto il loro digestivo locale molto buono 😋. Grazie a tutti in generale e un saluto a Massimo che hanno reso la nostra serata speciale e indimenticabile. Ritorneremo sicuramente ❤️
